Need to get some good fights under my belt today. Only 3 more levels then I can go to the Dunes and get some real EXP.

Things started off well. Found a Mithra resting in the long grass. Snuck up behind her and finished her off quickly. Only rated an Easy Prey so only got 30 EXP but better than nothing.

Next fight was harder. Damn Hume kept curing himself but I just managed to defeat him. Got 100 EXP and was pretty pleased with myself but then things started to go wrong.

Turned round to go back up north when I felt the hot sting of an arrow in my *****

****! Taru aggro!

The little ******* caught me unawares. I had no chance. He killed me easily and I fell to the ground.

Bugger. My HP was in Rolanberry Fields and I had to make the long trek back to East Sarutabaruta with all earlier gained EXP lost.

Ok, back to square one. Uh oh! Galka alert. Quick scan reveals he only rates a 'Decent Challenge' and his energy is half filled!

Easy EXP here! Creep up on him and attack! The fight is close but I get the victory but then WTF? No EXP?! Huh?! Oh damn! I forgot. When they've been fighting another mob and they lose health you don't get any EXP for beating them. Damn!

Today is turning out to be pretty crap.

Go and rest a bit to regain health.

Benny the Mandragora comes up to say hello. Then he does his 'Mandragora dance of war'. Hehe, these guys are so cute.

Ok, back to work. Decide to get my revenge on a Taru and search for one that's pretty weak. Find a likely subject and attack! Get myself 50 EXP but no drops. Bleh.

Reflecting on my victory when this Hume comes up and Dias me. Then runs away! Feel the overwhelming urge to chase him so I do. Rationalise this is a stupid course of action as my health is half full but for some reason I can't help chasing him. Watch as he Dias that sexy looking Tinkerer I've had my eye on and glad to see she feels the need to chase him too. We chase him round for 10 minutes as he Dias other Mobs. Man, this Hume is STUPID. There are 15 of us now and we are going to kick his backside so bad. He has to stop running sooner or later.

Ah! Now he's stopped. Ok, guys, attack! Yeah, don't seem to be doing much damage but there's 15 of us and 1 of him so what's he going to do? Not much I think. Oooh! He's casting some sort of spell. Keep at him guys, he's....

URRGH!! Dead again. WTF? And I've de-levelled. :(

Wake up in Rolanberry again to find the ******* has stolen my fire crystal. The one my mother left me. The piece of $hit!

Am determined to get him back one day. For now feel a bit miserable and decide to go and see my uncle who works in a shop in Jeuno.

Some days you are better off staying in bed...

Was the tinkerer of opposite sex? And if so, how exactly can you tell with all of that armor on... Or are gobs all unisex, or possibly hermaphrodites?
