Hmm...Keep us posted on the missions and stuff; I'm quite interested in those...

Also, any idea on whether these Mog Lockers will be accessed from your MH, or only in Aht Uhrgan?

The update timeline...That's a rough idea of what they want to include in each new patch, right? So, Colosseum functionality won't come into play until September at the earliest, or would you say that it'd be enhancements to the 'current' Colosseum system? As for that Chocobo Circuit, I'd think that'd be some form of Chocobo Grand Prix...Player vs Player competition, perhaps, with other races being mere exhibition races?

Hmm...I can't really think of any other questions right now...I want to ask some stuff about Assault, but I don't really have any clearcut questions, just a general desire to know more about it...

Well...Guess that's all I want to know right now, other than what SE defines as job balancing. I think as long as they release ToAU with even a fraction of that stuff in the box, I'd be happy; since I probably won't even start ToAU until we're waiting on the next expansion anyways XD;;

Oh! And tell them if they make anymore rank missions, they've got to remove the OP warp quest loss! =P

So. Wait. Whats that about the BLU demo? I really can't make out Feba's take on it. No fault on his part, I'm sure. I mean; poor guy is typing on a cell phone. Just see a bunch of WS listings.

Did the Mithra actually use those or what? And how?

In the demo, yes those skills were actually used (I was kind of stoned before hand...) and yeah, that's still pretty amazing for using a cell..

Yes, BLU demo=this
~Blue Mage~

First Dev Session included a visual demonstration, unfortunatly the guy kept the screen in photo mode most of the time, so no good look at tp/mp/hp bar.

He used a lot of abilities, including: Frypan, Bomb Toss, Leaf Dagger, Dimensional Death, Spider Aoe Slow, Maelstrom, Inkjet, and some other obviously elemental attacks (bubble shower or some such, and also an ice attack.)
Our assumtion, because of the frequency of the abilities, is that the job abilities are *not* tp based. Most likely mp based, with cooldown timers. There is casting time on the abilities, and they can be interrupted.

So yes, BLU can learn beastmen and undead abilities gathered from that list.

Ah, that last bunch of pics answers a few of my questions, thanks ^^ I wish that the Colosseum wasn't just monster versus monster, though...

However, this raises a significant question; Will there be monster breeding a la Chocobo breeding...or will there be monster catching a la Dragon Quest/Final Fantasy X? Maybe even, dare I say it...Pokeballs? o_O

Time will tell, eh?

Edit: Oh, and by my lamentation that the colosseum was monster versus monster; I'm not asking for PvP...rather, player versus monster, a la FFVI or almost any other game with a colosseum ^^;;

It just seems like it's gonna be so damn fun to play... I'll be getting ever (unleveled) job to 37, just for the sake of giving this job options.

im sure it will be in a completely new area, chocobo circuit that is.

They emphasized that this will not be a very time consuming activity. It will be on par with gardening. However, you must care for, feed, and interact with your chocobo. They mentioned letting your Chocobos 'meet' your friends' Chocobos and see what happens... They also hinted at Chocobo Racing as a future activity.
so basically I get to wander around xarcabard for hours on end waiting for those 2 ******* rabbits.

Is this even the same game anymore?
Maybe they will ***** everything up. Large changes and additions all at once are rarely a good thing.

Well, I think this is part of the reason they are spreading it out. Plus, I doubt fundamental things will be changed, i.e., it won't go through a SWG phase of complete redesign. Plus, I guess the same could be said about any expansion. Is that a bad thing?

I understand what you're saying, but while there are tons of additions, I think they are additions and not changes. There will be some changes, but I don't think it'll completely change the game. The things I can see easily changing are common experience grounds or hub cities. Basically, all player changes. With all that being said, I don't work for SE, so I really don't know. Their changes, in the grand scheme of things, really aren't well known in depth at the moment.

Well..just wait 2 hrs and 3 min from now I guess, and also, they COULD just you know..not release this expansion. So like, be happy you're getting all you're getting and why basically over a half of year after april 14th or whenever ToAU drops, they spread out all the major shiz. These changes were requested obviously by ALOT of people, thus they're making it, FOR YOU (the people) so I think they're being extremely careful about what and how they're adding stuff, though they have messed up only a FEW times that I remember severly affecting the game (which was community based, not really their fault) was the NM fights for the NPC buddy which was prolly one of the major ones lol.

Either way...

I figure the collosium thing would be like FFIX style..would be fun..

It was more of a few monsters you can fight in a certian type of area but once they were gone they were gone lol. That type style, but in a setting with..not sure how FFX's was because I haven't played it. But probably in that since the idea seemed pretty cool.

I just got back from the Fan Fest. Unfortunatly I will miss the second announcement from the dev team.

My biggest disapointment though is although they had new playable areas, both the Blue Mage and Corsair could not be played.

Not only that but you couldnt play as ANY of the advanced jobs. You basically got to run around as a level70 basic job with AF1 on. Haha.

Hopefully tomorrow we may get to fool around with the new jobs. They did SHOW blue mage to us though and it looks cool.

And Colosseum that was announced as being two monsters fighting sounds like some kind of way to bet on stuff. Guess we will see.

People played FFIX?

I'm hoping it's not FFVII-style, that always had a way with ******* you over (getting Mini'd on Proud Clod is ******* awesome).

Hmm...I don't remember the FFIX version that you speak of, but FFVI works like...you bet an item, and that determines what kind of monster you face. (For example, betting a certain knife will allow you to face a potential party member, and if you beat them, you get them to join.) Then, you pick one of your party members, and they go in to solo the monster.

FFX works a bit differently. You eventually come upon a monster trainer dude.He gives you a special kind of weapon...He tells you to go out and kill monsters with it. As you do so, you'll unlock those monsters to fight, plus, depending on what you catch and how many, (10 is the max you can catch of any given monster) the trainer will 'combine' certain monsters to create huge bosses. Eventually, if you catch 10 of every monster, and beat all the bosses he creates, you'll be able to face Nemesis, the uberboss of the game.Unfortunately, the reward for beating him kinda sucks, but it's still an interesting fight.

Wow, Chocobo breeding and possibly new colours! :D I am so excited. This is what I wanted in final fantasy. Something like pets to take care of. ^^ Oh, and I am not sure if it is old news or not, but just yesterday, my friend showed me that the girl just in front of chocobo stables in Upper Jeuno gives a cutscene about Prishe and silver chocobos. d('_-)

Besieged also looks very cool. ^^
