Cavernous Maw LocationsFollow

#1 Nov 20 2007 at 2:40 PM Rating: Excellent
I haven't seen a compiled list of Cavernous Maw locations yet, so I decided to start one. Here are the locations of the ones I've found.

Thanks to ImmortalAlchemist, bsphil, Chocotaku, blulight, and Dragok for leads on tracking some of these down!

Sauromugue Champaign (K-9)
On the west end of the ledge outside the Garlaige Citadel exit. You can see this one if you hug the left wall as you zone from Meriphataud Mountains.

Rolanberry Fields (H-6)
Behind a hill on the north wall of the zone, a short walk from Jeuno.

Batallia Downs (H-5)
Against the mountainside on the north side of the zone.

Pashhow Marshlands (K-8)
East of the main path near the center of the zone, just as you cross a bridge with a bend in it.

Meriphataud Mountains (K-6)
On the east side of the path heading to Zi'Tah. Just to the east of the hill in the middle of the path.

Jugner Forest (H-11)
Against the wall on the west side of the river near the south end of the zone. It's in a little nook on the right as you head south.

West Sarutabaruta (H-9)
Northwest of the fork in the path, up against the mountains. Not far from the Port Windurst zone, due west across the road from the small pond.

East Ronfaure (H-5)
In a nook on the north end of the zone. A short run northeast from the Southern San d'Oria zone, just past the Cheval River.

North Gustaberg (K-7)
A short walk northwest from the Port Bastok exit. In a nook into the east side of Zegham hill.

Those are all that I'm aware of. If you stumble across any, please let me know!

I was thinking of creating a thread like it...but I figured it might get shot to the next page before the update. But glad to see someone else had done it.

I don't have any new locations I've run into, but you may want you separate a section of past/present locations of Maws evenually...as they may not be similar (At least I was going to, so its up to you).

I posted some locations due to the maws being in the dialogs for certain zones but I didn't have the positions for them. Thanks for the <pos>! Smiley: grin

I went looking for a possible maw in Jugner Forest since imortalalchemist was able to find some info on dialouge possible for dancer quest. The maw is very well hidden at h-11(I looked every where but there and was about to check secret entrance from tomb rofl). Btw the lake refered from the dialouge is the big one at the top of the map and the maw is very far from it, hopefuly no true sight mobs inbetween.

Ok, I've been to the Rolanberry Field and Jugnar Forest Maw and when I click on them it says "Nothing happens...". I was able to enter the Batallia Downs fine the first time, but when I went back to it I got the same "Nothing happens..."

Anyone know why this happens? Are you limited to how many times you can enter a maw per day?

Where is the Maw in Saru in the past? I saw it on the ledge, but I'm guessing you have to go through Garlaige..but that place is a complete maze.

It seems you can only enter a Maw in the present if you have used it in the past first. The only exception is the first Maw you use to enter the past. The zone it drops you in (Rolanberry, Sauromugue, or Batallia) is the Maw you can use to re-enter the past if you leave before touching another Maw. I used the one in Batallia, it dropped me in Rolanberry. When I went back to Batallia after I'd warped, it wouldn't let me in, but I was able to enter Rolanberry's.

Can anyone tell me how to get to the maw in jugner forrest? Not from the present, but from the past. It seems like any way to it is blocked off. Can anyone give an explanation?

Ahh found it. I didn't see the topic on this a page back, tried looking, guess I missed it, forgive me for not being perfect. And thanks for defaulting a simple question instead of just answering it, even when it's on topic. I love how people rather be an ass and default you without explanation instead of just saying "Ohh yeah, here's a topic that explains it" or "Yeah, just do this" is that really so @#%^in hard? It's not like this is a "overly common" question, about getting to the jugner maw while in the past.

I have a friend with wotg exp and she is having trouble making it through the Jugner Forest in the past to get to the maw. I noticed that someone mentioned that they saw the answer posted on a previous page, but I didnt notice a direct link to the page they were discussing. The way through is apparently blocked off and we (me-screenwatching lol) cant find a way through or figure out from reading the descriptions listed how to make it through to acces the maw. Any add. help would be awesome.
