wonder what will happen to this surge in moral standing when people realize that there will now be:

1) absolutely no chance for them to buy Sandworm drops

BIG FING DEAL.

Quote:
2) higher prices on pieces dropped from Campaing Ops

Oh I don't know.....Do it my self?

Quote:
3) far far fewer Alexandrite available

I don't feel the need to be first so I'll just wait till SE lowers the amount/increases the supply.

I would like to remind you people, that when salvage first came out the BG forums closed and went invite only.

I happened to be one of the people invited and I know why. They did not want just anyone wearing the gear that came from it, they wanted to keep it for themselves. That is why I did not share any of the information my shell learned from Salvage with them, because it was retarded how they wanted it just for themselves.

That being said, I hate alla about as much as I hate BG. There are just as many ****** players on both forums who have no idea what they are doing.

Huh, I can think of quite a few people I know that are probably exploiters what with their cocky attitudes saying that people fail if they didn't get Ares or something like that. Never knew that this was what they meant by it.

Now I know what that was all about. Funny though, I'm not to sure of how the exploit works exactly but when the Nyzul Isle weapons were introduced with the new WS I did suggest that maybe people should go into the zone then try alliancing together so that we might all get the weapons we wanted and have less rot in inventory/storage NPC.

I would absolutely ban every @#%^er who exploited this. Not only does this cheapen every piece of Salvage gear out today, not only is this a colossal slap to the face of everyone who was doing this legitimately and slowly working with their groups, but most importantly this essentially lowered the Alexandrite requirements from 30,000 to 10,000 for anyone involved. I would absolutely ban every person who did this.
Quote:
Lets not even get into the cut in alexandrite that will happen. It wont be a huge cut. I dont think. But, from what i understand each group using this exploit would receive triple the alexandrite returns. I am guessing that 2-3k alexandrite is now going to take even longer to see that it would have with the exploit intact. So, i am upset about that as well.
This is complete ********* Obviously anyone exploiting this glitch was keeping their Alexandrite for themselves. In reality stopping people from completely cheating on this will not effect Alexandrite supply in the slightest.

Because paying for a drop is the same as using an exploit to essentially cheat the game into giving me 3 of the same item? SE will ban for one of those, guess which one it is?

My guess is you drifted over here from BG after their thread was locked. I'm officially ignoring you after this post. Have fun speaking your broken english.

No, here is the bottom line:

Quote:
You cheated. You know you cheated, and now you're trying to rationalize the situation.

This is the typical response of those that get caught cheating.

May the banhammer strike swiftly and accurately.

This was one of the later responses to the linked thread, and I'm quoting it for accuracy, truth, and justice.

Take your stupidity back to BG, it'll probably be more welcomed there based on the overall response to that linked thread.

I have been pretty active in the TAU trifecta: Assault, Nyzul Isle, and Salvage... and I as much as I would want to have benefited from those exploits, my hypocrisy says that most of your suggestions don't go far enough. Striping the ill-gotten gear is not enough... strip those characters naked, confiscate all their cash, and out them each name by name before black-bagging each one.

I have not mined Mount Zhayolm since Salvage began to net 13/24 needed khroma ores and horded 12 wootz ores from dynamis just to see 3rd rate, elitist, SOBs sit with or near full sets of Salvage gear while I'm at zero 25 or 35 pieces at all. I have a goddamned job, interviews for grad school, and a life to lead.

What will the bitterness I have towards the ppl that have used these exploits get me... abso-frag-alutely nothing. If the hammer drops on them, will it change anything for me.. no. Do cheaters win, and the honest ppl suffer... yes. Why am I complaining... because I have a legitimate right to be pissed off.

Lol, some idiots subdefaulted my post.

Anyway, I reiterate.

Remember when Salvage came out? The BG forums went "invite-only", because they to try and keep any information about Salvage to themselves and on the downlo. Little did they know, that they are not the only elite players out and and shells were figuring out stuff faster than they were. While I got an invite, we did not share anything we learned with them because we thought the whole scheme was kind of BS.

#143REDACTED, Posted: Nov 26 2008 at 1:16 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) You bunch of whiners. I could care less if people are hated because they got so fed up with a system that can make you wait 6 months for a single 35.I could care less about the karma bomb I'm gonna get. Why do you all have to whine so much and get happy when somehow a situation is caused that makes it possible to get uber gear in decent length of time. You talk about the great av buffs, and WoJ bans and you know what those do. They make where a super item is made cheap enough to be easily bought. I wish that I had heard of this trick cause I would have used it to help my friends and myself to good gear. The drop rates will still suck.

It wasn't deleted. It got rated down to sub-default. Set your filters to "never filter" and you will see it again.

Edit. Beat to the punch.

Anyone else having flashbacks to the "Kira is Justice" incident?

All we have to wait for now is people to start making lists of everyone they see wearing the armor and let the personal investigations and witch hunts ensue...

Ya, totally my bad. I usually browse at subdefault, but this is a different computer than I normally browse and I had forgot to set that up.

I hate when you are reading a conversation and one side is subdefaulted and the other is not and it sounds like someone is arguing with themselves :P

For the record, I posted my admission of self-woosh before this comment was posted. Was kind of hoping I was fast enough that nobody saw the original quote, but you beat me to it.

Interesting. I heard about Taj outing FFXIApp users, but I didn't know there was a video.

Edit: 900 posts, woo!
