Reactivating old accounts. Follow

#1 Feb 12 2010 at 3:09 PM Rating: Decent
I recently heard of the return to vanadiel offer for ffxi. I had two characters with seperate pol IDs. One was created from ps2 release and cancelled in 2006. Next characer was created on box 360 in 2007 and cancelled in 2008. Question is could I call square enix to activate these accounts? Problem is that I no longer have pol IDs, pol email or cd registration key information. Also the credit cards on the account have expired and I don't have that info. Am I out of luck? I would guess I am but I figured I'd ask. Thanks.

Unfortunately without the POL ID's there's really nothing that SE is gonna be able to do.

You may be in luck. I recently started again fresh on PC, completely from scratch. Long story short: I wanted to play on 360 again so I had to contact SE to unlink my previous account from my handle (a long lost character). When I called SE to do this, I thought 'what the hell' so I asked about the old account. NO id NO email or CD keys. What they are going to want is just the last 4 digits of the card you previously had. Luckily I do most of my CC stuff online so I was easily able to find previous and canceled CC #s from the website. Try that but if not I'm sure its easily obtainable over the phone with the company that gave you the card. You will have to buy another copy of ultimate if you are currently playing, of course, but other than that you will only need the last 4 digits (possibly the address you had at that time. I cant remember exactly). Took me 20 mins and I was back on my old main :) Made my day... guy on the phone came through for me big time

Old thread but i just wanted to add that i recently recovered 2 of my POL accounts simply by verifying the registered name and address and by sending them a picture of my ID. You dont need to have the registration codes and other hocus pocus.

It completely depends on the Representative you happen to get connected to.

When attempting to reset the POL mail password on my inherited account, the first 2 tries they wanted everything. PoL ID, Password, Name, Address, Registration Code... I didn't have Reg Code, so they wanted the very first Credit Card ever used on the account.

Finally on my third try I was able to change the pass, plus they made a note on the account so I would never need the Reg Code again.
