Naked Mithra?Follow

I started a new character a few days ago, because I could not find my old POL ID. In a random event, I found my old login today and reactivated my old Characters (fantastic!!). I was happy that I had already completed many things I was dreading (Subjob, Airship, Chocobo quests), but my Mithra THF was completely without a single item or gil.

I am not asking for a gil guide or trade secrets, but where is a good place for a 40 THF/WAR to kill for items that sell well to vendors so I can get start-up money for airship rides, posting on items on AH, Chocobo rides and eventually equipment when I save enough. FYI...punching a Sabertooth Tiger did not work well for me with 11 H2H...soo sad.

Thank you for any help with this.

Additional:
I did contact SE and they said since the character was already recovered and there was not a way to prove I had items or gil, they could not assist me.

Maybe you could try targeting Goblin Thugs around Sarutabaruta and the Horutoto Ruins. Those should drop Wild Onions pretty easily, as well as armor and gil. You can use the gil dropped from those to put the onions up at the Windurst AH where they will sell fairly quickly.

SE Guy 1: Hey, wouldn't it be funny if, after I restore this guys account, I put all his gear and items in the delivery box so he goes berserk thinking his account is empty but I can trollface because all his stuff is still there, he just has to take it out eight items at a time.

SE Guy 2: Haha that sounds hilarious, can you help me with these server merges a bit? I'm going down the character list and picking out random people's names to duplicate even though nobody else would ever use their name so they have to change them to something funnier.

SE Guy 1: Haha, we're so funny. Whens that merger happen again?

SE Guy 2: Tomorrow :D

Have you checked to see if you have any Conquest points at all? If you do have some amount, you can always either get some items to use to assist with farming on Thf(Assuming you are from Windy) or to sell for a small amount of gil.

Odd to be absolutely broke and not have a single item, even Rare/EX left. Unless it was an old "drop everything so I have no reason to come back" kind of thing.

Could switch to Mnk, assuming it's a really low level, and do FoV for that tiny amount of gil it gives, while getting drops from low mobs. Again just assuming you are from windy(this doesn't work as well in sandy, as it's crap for farming).
Needs no(and shouldn't bother with) a weapon until lv.10, and honestly has little use for gear at all until 8.

I did not check Conquest Points yet, but will when I get home. The reason for no items: I had given a few to a friend for him to use and also had given him my crafting components, but I recall having a fully equip character when I stopped playing (for WoW...it sucks now) and was very shocked to come back to an empty character. Thanks so much for the help though.

Honestly, I would scrape together some gil on your main and just start over on a new character.

I was thinking of doing this too. Just get what I can with my THF over a few days, then start a Blue Mage or something.

Crane Flys for wildgrass or stealing and killing saplings for Grain Seed seems to be fairly quick and easy gil that requires next to no gear.

Rather than use your naked thief right now for farming, I'd follow a previous poster's advice and use a low - level job near a start-up city for a bit. That way you are getting crystals as well.

Luckily, adventurer appreciation is starting up soon, so hopefully there will be new rings to help with leveling.

Also, with FoV giving some gil each hour you'll be able to make some petty cash.

It's not great, about 200 gil for the first of the start level areas, but you can do two in about 10 mins if you start one just before the change of in-game day so you can do the next back-to-back, it's quite surprising how soon you'll get some useful change.

If you do this in Windurst then the starter bees will drop honey, another nice cash crop for starting out.

Thanks to everyone for the tips and help. I was able to get a decent dagger and now things are dying much quicker. I am on my way to getting enough gil to be back where I was.
