I would say everything up to the Airship fight would be soloable(well, at 90, not so sure at 75). The bugbear fight may be hard as well, come to think of it. You might be better off getting 90, and the new spells that come along with it before soloing through. Disseverment isn't as good as it used to be, so you won't be missing it once you get Quad. Cont. and Goblin rush.

You wont get to sea solo at 75. 90 maybe.
Above post is correct I hardly ever set disseverment anymore.

I've helped my wife (SAM) duo everything up to 7-3. She's one fight away from sea and the only fight that gave us trouble was 6-4, and even that we got to about 5% on Ultima before wiping, and that was only because I wasn't paying enough attention.

With the right jobs, for example it might be hard for a bard to put out the 7k dmg in 45sec required by the snoll NM.

Here's a good guide to what you can solo:

Keyword is almost. You can do it alone, just have to be really quick.

Snoll is a joke because you can just spam stunning items on it. If you can't solo it on any job at lv75+, you're doing something wrong.

Well, I guess that with lvl 95 it will be even easier.
My worry is just that, having returned after 3 years (I had a lvl 53 rdm), now it's difficult to find people willing to help you do the story, as they've already done it. I hope I will be able to solo at least 90% of the stuff at lvl 95.

Honestly if you do all the CS and know how to drag yer **** to the right place I bet you won't have too much trouble finding someone to help you with the kills. The fights themselves don't last long so as long as you aren't expecting someone to walk you through CS and you have a decent LS you probably won't have that much trouble finding help with the fights.

Realistically, the only two fights I can see being nigh-impossible for a soloer would be the Tenzen fight, and the four Ix'zdei pot fights. Tenzen will still hit like a truck if he nails you with his bow (and if it's the WS from the bow you're practically done for), and if you get hit from Optic Induration from one of the 'zdei that's 1500~ + Petrify.

He/she missed nothing. If you can't defeat the Snoll now at level 75+, on *ANY* job, you're pretty terrible.

Yes, EVEN Bard.

Items exist for a reason.

if you have a bst friend at 90 you can duo the whole thing. i have bst at 90 and except for the few times where you needed help from a friend to opens stuff, such as phomiuna aqueducts and sacrarium, you can pretty much solo all the fights. the toughest fight i feel was the 4 pots fight right before prommy boss, but it shouldnt matter cause if your just looking for sea access then you get it after airship battle anyways.

at level 80 BST could solo every fight up to Tenzen. (and a few fights after)
I'm still not sure if bst can solo Tenzen at 90~95. We don't exactly have spike damage (which is what you need). A sam or blu 2-hour would probably work for a solo.

I'm pretty sure a good bst can solo the pot fight (mdb axes and use broncha or CC). and Solo'ing promathia is no problem. All other fights were no problem at all for a bst.

eh...take a pet job (or two) with you and you can pretty much coast through them. I got all the way to airship fight before they uncapped it, but we pet burned airship fights with just 4 people at 80: 1 BST, 3 SMN--would have set records if we hadn't bothered so much with buffs. Ripped up the angels to get inside, then duoed the rest to Promathia at 80+ as either SMN and BST or SMN and PUP.

The 4 pots room was a joke with 90 PUP and SMN--sent Shiva in with Auto and we just took them out. The tower climbs still took a long time though, even though we could cut through the aggroes at 90. Had a SCH wanted to come for the fun on Promathia (think we actually 4-manned it, forget), so it too was pretty easy at 90.

This thread triggered me to go back and finish off CoP since I was still on the Diabolos fight. So far I've done everything as RDM/WHM

Diabolos was a puppy dog. Only took longer than 4 minutes because I was straight tanking and got slept at one point.

Trying to open the door in Sacrium - I honestly do not believe it's possible to open it regardless of how fast you are. You are frozen and the first time you can move, you can already see the lock closing. I also had a crap time getting keys to drop off Fomors. Luckily someone was in zone and was willing to help open the door for me. I advise it honestly just take someone who already did the mission.

Nunyunuwi with super regen was a pain and I could not straight melee him. I had to spam Tier 4 nukes with a convert to keep spamming. He went down fast using that method.

Promy Valhz was pretty easy. Cumulator actually killed me with his throatstab type move. Popped RR and killed him weakened. Just have to keep stoneskin up. He was spamming his move at the end which made things interesting.

Right now I'm wandering through Tenzen's path on 5-3.

When I decided to give him a pet name after the first time I killed him? Sure, he's Promathia. That's too long. Just like a few Jonathan's I know get called Jonny (whether they like it or not).

A few fights might stop you cold at 75, but you can absolutely solo CoP up to Sea on BLU at 80+. Just have to go prepared for what you're up against. There are plenty of spells besides Disseverement that you can spam on Tenzen, which I found to be the only real threat through the whole thing (I helped a friend get Sea). Like stated above, the only real problem you'll come across solo is Sacrarium key.

Those spells, however, shouldn't stop you from going past 75. Only one I really use now is Disseverement. If you level to 95, you'll have no problem soloing any of it. (Sacrarium aside)

>Or his knowledge of how to make an item macro?

No a proper non-elitest reply might include something like:

Try using <item x> at <condition y>.

I'm still not seeing how a solo bard will push out 7.5k in dmg in 45 seconds.

So, you do evisciriation or dancing edge for 1-1.2k, use a tp wing and do it again, ok. 2.4-2.5k. Now you swing at it for another 30 seconds for TP for a third WS for 1.2k bringing our total to just shy of 5k (1.2k * 3 = 3.6k actually so still barely halfway there) Where is the other 2.5-3.5kk in damage being made up?

Or are you talking about using an item to extend the time 20 seconds? Ok, so we might be getting kinda close to breaking 6k.

Not difficult to figure out how to make a proper reply instead of a useless elitism reply.

Airship battle got me caught up every time at Ultima. Get it down to 10% on RDM/NIN and would get unlucky with that throatstab move being spammed but totally soloable with the right gear or meds. I gave it a couple tries before I just did it duo.

Plan to solo through the 3 NM fights until Tenzen. Sounds like that's doable to solo as well.

Unfortunately, this trick only works with the Aqueducts and NOT the key trades in Sacrarium. The instant you reconnect after trading the Coral key you are frozen and it completely ignores any trades done afterwards. Judging by your wording, you're mistaking them for one and the same (since you mention running, and no running is required in Sacrarium as both keys go in the same door).

Sorry for the minor necro, but I thought it was worth mentioning as I spent ages trying to solo it using this method and broke countless keys in the process.

tl;dr Sacrarium is not soloable.

The trick is induced lag. Unplug your ethernet cable, hit the first switch, run to the second switch, plug back in, hit the second switch. First switch got sent when you plugged back in, second is hit right away. No problem.

I tarded.
