Should be one-minute recasts for what usefulness they have, even considering Aegis' damage bonus.

Those aren't job adjustments worth anything more than a bullet on a long list of patch notes.

Anyone else getting utterly disgusted with the "To preserve balance in light of this change" tag line attached to almost every update now? **** off, SE.

Gonna ditto this. Sure, they don't miss (now), but DNC can crank out a Violent Flourish more often for basically a similar effect. And given the presence of Sudden Lunge on BLU as a far superior stun than all three with a short recast, I'm not really seeing a reason why not.

Knocking off 2.5 mins does nothing except take 2.5 mins off the recast for voidwatch triggers. They could of lowered it a lot more and had no serious issues. The merit adjustments are completely and utterly stupid and pointless, the number of people that actively use these abilities the moment they are ready is almost non-existent so worrying about 20 seconds to preserve balance seems completely retarded.

Also yeah I'm getting pretty damn sick of seeing the word balance everywhere, it's like the current dev teams catch word and they need to shove it.

Kimjongil, I've mentioned it before, but please pay attention to if a topic's already been made before you made one. Szabo had already made a topic about this particular announcement an hour before you did. I'm keeping this one open because it's the more active of the two, but again, please check the existing topics before posting a new one so that you don't repost a topic.

THF Update: Mug will now be 15% more effective! But to balance it, its recast time will be increased from 15 to 30 minutes.

Wooohoooooo. I cant speak for DRK, but for PLD it should have been reduced to two minutes....and the merit adjustments left alone.

Again, more ******** from SE: making "updates" to the game for the sole purpose of being able to claim they are making updates. The quality/content of the update matters not.

In this case the balance they speak of is balance across the Group 1 Merits. Pretty much all recast reductions in Group 1 are a fixed percentage per merit point (~3.33% per merit point.) The notable exception is BRD Finale/Lullaby recasts which are rounded up to 1 second from 0.8. So if they reduce the base recast, they have to reduce the merit reductions to keep them in line with the rest of the reductions.

Moarlike: We have noticed an increase in the use of Mug. This is overpowered so we decided to pre=emptively just make all Thief job abilities share a timer. To balance this out, we'll give you one more tier of Treasure Hunter. It requires 10,000 Heavy Plates and 100 Jadeshells. The good news is you lose the ability to dualwield!

I get the suspicion the dev team has become aware of the players' hate for their use of the word "balance" and now just throw it in wherever they can, just to **** with us.
