Resolved Issues
An issue with Voidwatch wherein non-participating players being drawn in by NMs would also effect participating players.

I love how this is worded. It makes it sound like it's a bug for Draw In to affect participating players, but having it affect non-participants is intended behavior.

Some of the gear looks pretty nice, I lol'd at first when I saw the Lv 127 weapons. ( I presume the level is for the off chance someone obtains said item, the level is to block said player from using it )

Regardless, looks like some new goodies to hunt down. First on my list needs to find where Meteor comes from so I can once again completely my nuke lists and start planning on shooting for gear. ( looks over possible replaces for ammo, grip, belt, rings and what not for blm )

Holy crap, look at all those new auto-translate terms.

Except I can't get them to work... is this in Test Server or what?

It's a really minor thing, but they have the santa hats listed as "Dream Cap" and "Dream Cap +1" here. Their actual name is Dream Hat and Hat +1

Either way, they are storable now. I just stored my own.

Except they've been storable for a long time on the event item storage NPC. The only ones that haven't are the ones with limited (counted) number of uses. (And newly created event items usually lag by a few months before they add them to the NPC.)

Did anyone else notice it kind of ironic that Legion looks like Mordion Gaol? So, I enter this place, and the first thing I see is Jormy hitting me in the face. I couldn't help but think "Oh look, they made [GM]Dave a developer!"

Seems Meteor and Arise are from Legion or the final VW fight maybe? I assume if it was a quest or something like that the dat miners would of found it in the chat logs by now?

I don't get why they spent so much time on a spell so few are seemingly going to get, not even 1 person has it yet?

Really didn't get to try legion. Went in with a rag tag team of 5 and got crushed...hydra, khim, and Cerberus were just waiting for us, then immediately anhilated us.

Well its not going to make COR's happy. Save TP nerf ruins Miser's roll almost totally.

I have a theory that Save TP itself may still stack, it just doesn't stack with weaponskill TP. Sure, that still makes Miser's much less useful, but would still make it one of the better buffs in Voidwatch when stacked with atmacite (max of 45 TP return). It just wouldn't be the 'end-all' roll that we've gotten used to. I'll test it out if this download ever finishes; I got a late start. Smiley: frown

Edit: OK, yeah it would still kinda suck even in VW. :(

Either the COR in my PT last night was hitting terrible rolls (wasn't paying enough attention) or they do not stack, I had left Discipline on without noticing and was only getting the normal returns (I was on SAM.. no more constant Shoha QQ)

People have Meteor and Arise already, some bazaars selling for 40 mill (insane of course). Anecdotal hearsay evidence, but someone in my LS said that someone in their VW party got it off one of the new fights. Yes, I know POIDH.

Maybe Sage Sundi decided to reactivate his GM account and decided to level his DRK past the level cap again.

1 guy on Bismarck had both of them..... ASking 50 million a piece. I laughed. 10 million I can slightly understand, but 1/2 the cost of a relic?! Come on.....

Just a quick t(^.^t) to SE for nerfing Yuly and Falcor's TH. Like THF's TH7 (or 8 in abyssea) wasn't good enough.

I've been hearing a bit on other FFXI websites. Pretty much said ***** that ( as I need both spells, I do use WHM and BLM ) but I can do without till their prices get a tad more reasonable.

No doubt! I'm just anti-nerf. Would you rather my job became less efficient, or your job was improved?

Oh yeah, also Yuly is 80K a stack, and Falcor is even more expensive.

I'm anti-nerf too, but the only reason I really care here is because they killed the delicious profit I made from those jugs, whenever I bothered to farm the mats... Smiley: glare

You know I still can't believe they added an event like Legion, 36 player content with low low drop rates.

I still remember the reasoning for level cap increase, Abyssea, server merges etc. In that lowering player populations required increased level caps to be able to low man content and that they were changing the direction of the game to accommodate this.

I read a few people complaining it was too hard or that when people shout for it they want relics etc, truth is they are aiming content at hardcores now and not normal players, that's why nobody wants you for it (because you're a scrub in a hardcore game). People shouting for relics etc is because that's the kind of players it's aimed at, if you're casual and complaining you should realise that they aren't making content for you so it's your own fault for thinking differently.

I read they are from the new VW, which would mean they changed the "incredibly difficult to obtain" thing and eased up on it significantly, they will be fairly easy to obtain now I'd think. Same as with the last tier of spells, give it 5-6 months and they should be within most peoples price range.

Honestly it seems they are trying to make XI the low playerbase hardcore, low drop rate and large group MMO and XIV the more popular casual low man MMO, trying to keep both kinds of player happy on their own little island. I don't think it will work out for them the way they think it will if that is what they are doing.

Stop generalizing. They added ONE event for the hardcores. ONE event that caters to LS's craving some group content, after how many years of lowman-friendly content? VW is not hardcore, and does not require a hardcore mentality. New VW don't require Emps/Relics. In fact, they made Bismarck and Morta 45 minute time limits if your group kills slow. If the playerbase shouts for Emps/Relics, that is on THEIR heads. That is THEM wanting the fights to last a fraction of the time, not SE for designing the fights. If someone without an Emp/Relic wants to do a fight and keeps getting shut out by the mentality, start your own shout. Or join or form an LS that is more forgiving. I can tell you that when my LS does VW and Legion, we don't intentionally exclude people without Emps/Relics. And we cleared all VW no problem (haven't tried new fights yet as a LS), and just had a successful Legion run last night.

And if your sub was still active and if you actually tried Legion, you would know the drop rates aren't "low low" at all. The issue here is clearing the second wave and final boss, not drop rates. The current time limit is the big issue, not the drop rates themselves. Our LS walked away with two of the common first wave items after clearing two chambers. I have read enough testimonials on people doing the Kings chambers and getting Vassal Mantles up the wazoo that, anecdotally, the drop rates appear to be 25% or higher on each mob.

All you have to do is wear an augmented Taru sash and get on the hate list with a single action. You now have as much TH as Yuly or Falcorr without having to sub THF.

Yeah, I know about the TH sash. I just forgot that pet TH was reduced, so I was wondering how a TH sash was supposed to be enough to get you equivalent to pet TH.
