Silly me, I did the transfer when they originally stated that we had to, only to find out that we didn't have to at that time. Best of luck to ya.

Mildly off-topic, but now that registration server maintenance is over, I tried to transfer. Your current region and POL region are different (I moved from US to Europe 4 years ago), yada yada, don't do this, don't do that. Okay, lets hope it won't cause huge issues at some point.

Yes yes, I read it, I want to transfer anyways. Nope, can't transfer, need to add payment option first. Try to add credit card. Nope, can't do, perhaps because it expires in 2 months (new card won't arrive for a few weeks).

Start over. Okay, add crysta (when it prompts through account transfer link). Nope, can't do, some problem with that. Try adding crysta directly then! Paid for crysta, wait for confirmation.... and wait... and wait... an hour later e-mail comes that crysta has been added.

Now can I transfer? Yay, finally got to transfer but it says that everything costs 0 crysta. Hmm, okay, yes, I want to reactivate. That should be ok now, try to log in to FFXI. Nope! You don't have active content IDs. Back to Square-enix account site. Reactivate I said! Still everything costs 0 crysta. Check again if can log on. Nope... check the payment status. Next predicted payment date April 3rd. What the hell?! I want to pay today, not tomorrow!

/end rant. Yeah, it's messed up. -_-

think error 601 was getting tripped by AdBlock/NoScript or something--have to catch which site it was blocking during the verification and allow or some strange mess like that. The servers had something like gcsip in the name or something--secure servers for Global Connect Payments or something like that.

That 601 error happened to me yesterday. NoScript was causing the connection to not be established with the verification site. Allow everything on the page (I logged out and back in again after that).

Eventually I had problems with the content IDs but that was resolved by relogging into playonline and it associated my IDs with the default handle.

Been using it up until now to pay for the game, so I'd assume so...

Now SE has taken my money, and all statuses on SE account show active, but logging in to FFXI pops up that "no active content IDs" thing. -_-

Forgot to mention it in the post, but it had already been 10 hours when I wrote that post. :P But yeah, seems that's the case, just got off the chat with SE support person and they said the server is heavily congested and it can take 24+ hours for the changes to get to FFXI login system. Said they are working on it though, so hopefully for everyone it'll be a matter of minutes soon (if someone hasn't transferred yet).

I recall having been hit with a similar problem when I transferred my account a while back, and it seemed to be a common issue among players that had done the transfer. Some billing snafu deactivated my content IDs and refunded my payment. I had to go into my account and reactivate the content IDs. Don't know if this is a similar problem happening now.
