Hi all i should be returning to FFXI on sat or monday at the latest hopefully, (been away since 2008) im starting from fresh install and id like to know first off how important are the security tokens, im going to get one but should i be ok to play untill it arrives ? And also i used to play on Bahamut and i was in a LS called Energy not sure if its still around, is Bahamut a decent server ? or are there better ones. Im living in the UK so is there a server that has more UK/EU players on it ?

I don't use one for what it's worth. Just use a strong password. The token is just an extra security measure as you'll need the number on the token to log in, which changes every 60 seconds (I think, might be 30).

For as cheap as they are for what they do, you can't go wrong getting a security token. Account security is never a bad thing.
The thing most people get it for though is the added bonus of a mog satchel in game. It will match your inventory capacity up to the cap of 80, and can be accessed anywhere in the game.

Also, supposedly if your account gets compromised SE will restore lost data on a token-protected account any time it happens, whereas unprotected accounts only get one (Spiderman style).

Every game I play, it if has a token or a token app (cuz they like to get high...) I use it.
It sucks getting hacked, been there done that. The extra security is just the smart way to go.
