Are there even enough players on the test server to adequately test this? lol

I have a question. How does square intend for us to teeeest their adjustment to parry and guard skill ups if we are automatically capped in skill on the test server?


Also what the hell, square actually back on their listening to player base kick? Did the sky go napalm orange when I wasn't looking?

Rocking Phantasy star online 2. And loving it! Hopefully sega get's it right this time. They are having a much better start this go around then Universe but still a ways off calling it a hot contender in today's MMO market.

So when are we allowed to blame Matsui when we don't get what we want or need? What's the proper wait period? A year? 4 months after he takes over?

I'd say, once Seekers comes out. Although I'm sure Tanaka has had a small hand in the extremely limited amount of development that has occurred so far for that, its gonna be mostly the new guy's baby.

Well if you want a logistical example you could say that your character is noticing differences in monster behaviors and attack patters to find more opportune points in which to parry or guard against attacks. So while they might not necessarily use the defensive skill in the heat of combat, they are learning (or skilling up) the best time to use said defensive tactics.

I for one and glad for these adjustments because I leveled my mnk in the good old days of yesteryear and my guard skill was like 56 when I hit 75, and still hardly much better these days (probably barely skimming three digits) and while I think my parrying isn't too bad, both see way too long without actually proccing to make skilling them up an unbelievable chore.

I know the grind that is parry/guard, as it took me a few months to cap parry, doing it a couple hrs a day. But to level these skills, you had to have as many mobs beating on you that you could safely handle.

Yeah makes sense, also Tanaka resigned at Vanafest but he's still there till iirc, the end of August so this change happened while he's still there since he even said "when I got back work continued for me as usual" basically lol.

Finally, as we have mentioned in the past for other topics, by making these spell adjustments, monsters that utilize this magic will also see defense enhancements as well, as is the norm when we make adjustments of this kind.
