Hey guys, just covering all my bases. I am trying to figure out if AT&T has issues with piping in FFXI data. Issue goes like this:

Load FFXI, login, Blank POL screen with no web content, just control buttons. Reload it, get the Crystal for FFXI, get through to FFXI, but then it jams on DLing data. There are some other issues, and I am handling those, but there was a provider in the states that I recall had issues like this, I think it was Verizon or Comcast (leaning towards Comcast now that I am writing this), but just wanted to see if any AT&T users ever experience stuff like this?

I use to use AT&T while in ohio and it was the best service I ever had. Fast, handled multiple online games up at once like it was nothing. So yeah I never had a problem with it.

I don't use AT&T but i do have the loading issue to just get into the game. Once launched all is well.

I just recently went full to AT&T (uverse); it has had no problem loading for me. No worse than Bellsouth.

My brother has AT&T Uverse and it's solid, as a matter of fact was working fine as of this morning. We're on the west coast.

AT&T DSL here and never, ever a problem *knock on wood* It's been the most stable Internet connection I've ever had since we had it turned on at our current location.

Now, previously, I had issues with AT&T due to bizarre circumstances:

- Frequent chew-through of lines from squirrels when we lived in an apartment with lots of trees around it. At least once a year we had to get the line replaced.
- At one really old house that was across the street from the old train depo from a century ago, there were tracks buried under the street that were still connected to live tracks a mile away. Every time a train went by, our Internet blinked enough to kick me off FFXI. The solution was for them to eventually add extra heavy shielding to the lines.
- AT&T is known to be awful for more than 5-6 connections at once. One of our clients has a remote building a mile away from their main office, in the middle of nowhere, and cable won't run that far. So they have to use residential DSL and it's just miserable for them to connect back to the main building.

KK just making sure. We did get her up and running, the other issues seem to be the cause. The only reason I went there is because her internet has been somewhat suspect in the past and I was beginning to think that it might be the issue. We will give it a go this weekend but I am betting we are golden.

Thanks for all the replies!

AT&T (SBC) DSL for years, no problems like that ever. And I usually leave it idled at the FFXI POL page between playing unless there's been enough of a glitch to lose the login.
