Well the pass gives you all kinds of free toys that are cool for a while, but then just take up more space. The person giving the pass gets free stuff too.
Previously, it was required if you wanted be on a specific server, but that was changed years ago.
So, assuming the request is legit, I would normally assume the poster wants free toys, but given the nature of the post, there is a likely chance either a) he's just spamming us or b) is not fully aware of what the gold pass does.
