Ban half of people doing salvage for exploiting alliance system to double drops, wait a few years, run events that try to desperately clasp onto the remaining player-base by doubling drops in salvage.

This should have been used in a line of Alanis Morissette's "ironic" song.

yeah but how many people who've never tried salvage before are going to give it a shot because of the double drops?

The real question is: why aren't they doing a double plasm promotion? I thought they didn't give a **** about old content?

Not one thing in that song is ironic... which oddly makes the entire song ironic. I don't think that's what she was going for, though >.>

I'd rather see double Alexandrite drop, but why look a gift horse in the mouth?

That's what I used to think. However, after seeing her tongue-in-cheek cover video of "My Humps", I have reevaluated my estimation of her sense of humor, and am giving her the benefit of the doubt on "Ironic". If you haven't seen her "My Humps" video, go to YouTube and watch it right now. It's excellent.

Cool, double salvage drops sounds great. And for two whole weeks.

If they can do this with Salvage, what's to stop them from doing double drop Voidwatch? Mmmm.

I don't want twice the amount of logs cluttering my chest and pushing out other gear.

yeah just saying that I've been having issues finding enough players to form an alliance with to exp since most people seem to be in to endgame content atm.

Yeah that's too bad. Don't need a full alli to do half decently in bost. Oubliette. Have you tried shouting for players? Lot of people probably just /sea the zone, see no one partying and don't bother.

Does double XP help you get 1 xp per kill where you might have gotten 0 before (due to the size of the alliance and your current level)?

Gonna assume yes, because I've heard that XP rings can have that effect. But don't quote me on it

Thing is, EXP in the background is calculated as a fractional value, even though we only end up getting whole points of EXP (duh). Anything beyond the whole point probably just gets truncated, but yeah.

Like, assuming the whole EXP ring thing is accurate, it's possible for something to give 0.5 EXP (which would normally mean you get nothing), but since it's doubled by the ring you end up getting 1 EXP instead.
