Celebrating 11 years of FINAL FANTASY XI means that we have an immense history filled with both players' individual memories as well as thousands of tales to tell about the various stories, elements, and other events that were implemented into the game over the years.
With that said, the Community Team is proud to introduce an event where players are encouraged to re-visit historic moments and relive those memories all over again. We've come up with 11 different objectives that will be posted on the forum over an 11 day time span, each one corresponding to a year in service. As an adventurer, it's your job to take a screenshot of your character fulfilling the objective and post it in the thread for the respective day. The first three adventurers to post a screenshot of a successfully completed objective each day will be awarded a prize.
Walk the path of a momentous eleven years of Vana'diel history with the Community Team as we remember the past and look forward to the future!
Event Period
Monday, May 27, 2013 to Friday, June 7, 2013 at 10:59 am (PDT)
How to Participate
Over the course of 11 days, the Community Team will create 11 threads (1 per day) with 11 different objectives.
1. Check the objective that is posted on the forum each day following the schedule listed below.
2. After confirming the daily objective, go in-game and take a screenshot of your character completing the objective while having /names on and wearing any of the below anniversary items:
a. Moogle Guard
b. Chocobo Shield
c. Decennial equipment
d. Novennial equipment
e. Dinner equipment
*The +1 version of the above equipment is also acceptable.
*Example: If the objective is "Take a picture with Shantotto." you would go in-game and take a screenshot of your character next to Shantotto.
3. Take your screenshot and post it as a reply to the appropriate objective thread.
Required information in your entry post:
-Character name
-World name
-Prize choice (see below Prize section)
*Please note that some image hosting websites such as Flickr will delete images when an account is inactive for a certain amount of time, so make sure to verify this when choosing a site to host your entry image.
The first three players to post a completed objective screenshot will be awarded with a prize.
A bonus prize will also be awarded to the best screenshot from each objective, so pay attention to the aesthetics as style counts!
*Limited to one entry per person per objective. In the event that multiple entries are posted, only the first one will be accepted.
*Screenshots taken without wearing the above required equipment and posts that lack the above required information will be disqualified.
Event schedule
The event will be held over the course of 11 days from May 27, 2013 (Monday) to June 6, 2013 (Thursday).
The time in which objective threads are created on the forum will be staggered each day, to ensure everyone from various time zones has a chance to participate. The below is the schedule of when threads will be posted:

1. ELIGIBILITY

7. SELECTION OF PRIZE
Actual model, color, accessories, and features of the in-game items awarded as prizes shall be selected by Square Enix in its sole discretion and may vary from photos or images shown in the Contest materials and advertising including the Square Enix web site.
8. USE OF WINNER'S NAME, LIKENESS, ETC.
Except where prohibited by law, entry into the contest constitutes permission to use the winners' voice, names, addresses, likenesses, and/or prize information, without limitation, for promotional purposes without further permission or compensation. As a condition of being awarded any prize, except where prohibited by law, winners may be required to execute a consent to the use of their name, address, likeness, and/or prize information, without limitation, for promotional purposes without further permission or compensation.
9. AFFIDAVIT & RELEASE
As a condition of being awarded any prize, winners (and if winner is a Minor, winner's parent or legal guardian) may be required to execute and deliver to Square Enix a signed Affidavit of Eligibility and acceptance of these Official Contest Rules and release of liability.
10. WINNER'S LIST; RULES REQUEST

12. MISCELLANEOUS
The Contest and these Official Contest Rules will be governed, construed, and interpreted under the laws of the United States. Contestants agree to be bound by these Official Contest Rules and by the decisions of Square Enix, which are final and binding in all respects. Square Enix reserves the right to change these Official Contest Rules at any time, in its sole discretion, and to suspend or cancel the Contest or any contestant's participation in the Contest should viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes beyond Square Enix's control affect the administration, security, or proper play of the Contest or Square Enix otherwise becomes, as determined in its sole discretion, incapable of running the Contest as planned. Contestants who violate these Official Contest Rules, tamper with the operation of the Contest, or engage in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to Square Enix, the Contest, or any other contestant, in each case as determined in Square Enix's sole discretion, are subject to disqualification from entry into the Contest.
