Announcing the Schedule for Repeat Login Campaign No. 3! (09/04/2013)

Repeat Login Campaign No. 3 Schedule
From Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at 8:00 a.m. (PDT)
to Wednesday, October 2, 2013, at 7:00 a.m.

Each day (Earth time) that you log in to FINAL FANTASY XI during the campaign, we will reward you with special points that may be traded in for specific in-game items!
* Login point totals will be calculated separately for each character.
* Points acquired during Repeat Login Campaign No. 3 may only be used during this iteration of the campaign.

Screenshot

* The Chocobo Masque is a head slot-only item.
* The warp effect will only function if you have visited the area in question at least once, and affects party members as well.
* Neither the Chocobo Masque nor the Chocobo Masque +1 may be delivered to PCs on the same account.

Screenshot

* The numbers in parentheses represent the number of logins (starting with the initial login) needed to purchase the item.

• How to Obtain Login Points
You will automatically accumulate points once per day when you first log in.
* If you receive login points for a particular day and remain logged in until the next reset (8:00 a.m. (PDT)), you will not automatically receive login points for that next reset. You must log out first and then log back in to receive those points.
* Login point totals will be calculated separately for each character.

• Number of Obtainable Points
The amount of points you receive during this campaign varies depending on the number of logins. At certain breakpoints you will receive a bonus.

First to Fourth Logins
The first login will provide you with ten points, with the number increasing in increments of ten for the second login and beyond.

Sixth login and beyond
Each login will provide you with one hundred points.

Bonus points
You will receive a bonus of five hundred points for each login that is a multiple of five (five, ten, fifteen...). As a special bonus, players reaching their eleventh login will receive 1,100 points.

Login No. Points
1 10
2 20
3 30

* The Greeter Moogles at each of these locations all provide the same services.

I still don't get why they had to make these into separate events and not just make it one long continuous thing. The breaks between them are so short that I don't see the point of breaking them up at all.

Exactly what I was going to say...

I think their logic is to make it continuous while being as "interesting" as possible. If it's "active" all of the time, people will get accustomed to it and stop caring. If there is a break in between, it's like another chance to get something that you missed. If that's their logic, then I think they should do a better job at switching up the rewards.

Who am I to disagree here, especially as the gifts in 3 seem to the same as in 1 with a handful added. I'm astounded they've taken it to a third installment.

I'd love to know their reasons for continuing this because given the break in between is minimal I don't see what they're achieving,

They're trying to make sure people log in to XI while XIV gets off the ground.

Fortunately for XI, XIV's servers are so overcrowded and locked down many a time I'll just say ***** it and get on XI again when I can't get past 1017 Smiley: laugh

The Empyrean seals aren't on the official undeliverable items list. Can anyone confirm that they can be delivered between characters on the same account?

They also didn't seem to confirm that the Goobbue Statue and the Cardian Statue have restricted delivery, but they did for the Chocobo Masque.

Empy seals have always been same account deliverable since they made that update. I've been keeping all mine on a mule for ever.

On the bright side (or maybe it's a downside), no Beastly Shanks.

I know this time around I'll be spending most of my points on +1 Verdegris Stones. Too many good pieces of Skirmish gear needing upgraded.

I'm up for this... it'll make me actually finish some AF gear for the sake of just doing it. (Alt-tab from FFXI|V and open POL just to get the log in points). I'm sure there's still lots of us playing both MMOs

I just noticed that NQ ground king pop items aren't there anymore. Instead we can buy seals/crests. 990 points for 99 Kindred's Seals.

I bet they will be dumb about it and force you to buy them one at a time, too.

So is that a statue of a Goobue eating a mandragora or a mandragora getting eaten by a goobue? Do they call it a Goobue statue because the goobue is bigger?

It's great to see they took an idea from the old Alpha footage they had for the game for the Goobbue

The real question is will it be NQ to +1 or NQ to +1 and +2.

If it's like the rank 4 Mog Bonanza item from 2-3 bonanza's ago, looks like it's just 8/10 seals needed to upgrade a specific item.

Which is really good actually for 500 points. Seals ARE transferable from same account characters too.

Looks like I am going to stock pile on these on my mules so when I do take certain jobs up, I can use the +1.

And.... there goes abyssea farming. More death to FFXI.

That's a really good idea. I have a few pieces left to knock out (primarily DRG...) and using mules to get them just works.

Just as FYI, statues are transferable, just not mail-able. So if you get a buddy who will hold it so you can swap it from mule to main then you're golden!

That's definitely good to know...I just need to find more room in my Mog House -_-

Not all statues. Odin, for example, can't be traded. So don't count 100% on being able to trade the Goobue/Cardian statues, we'll have to wait and see.

Excellent point! I was just thinking of the AA statues, I guess. I didn't try any of the others. Do we know if it is rare/ex yet?

Just got the Cardian Statue today and... R/E, tested and confirmed not able to trade/bazaar it. Probably safe to assume Goobue is the same.

So I'll be using points on my main for the statues, and mules for mannequin parts, pop items, etc.
