Just for some clarification for folks before someone inevitably makes a remark about how stupid some of the 500/1000 pt prizes are:

The yggzi stuff that's being offered here refers to the beads, the things that remove a NM from a Delve fracture run or can be used on the spot for 1000/1500 plasm
NOT the yggrete shards, the things that pop a single Delve NM outside of fracture

Those beads might help with getting a win for some of those less able groups out there...

omgggggggggg

Too bad they were always easier to obtain than +1 items because they were guaranteed drops if you killed the right NMs :<

I'm sure almost everyone here has a horror story or two about taking forever to get seals for a +1 because the NM just absolutely refused to drop the right kinds

Nice selection of stuff. I think they're starting to get the hang of this login campaign thing. I hope they keep it up in perpetuity.

I love this... I don't have the time to be in an organized linkshell to get the +2 items, so I just got all my +1 items and now am going to get all the +2 items now!

Hmmm I recently spent about 2 weeks getting 9 ardor cards for myself and another 9 a friend from Mr Hedjedjet (however you spell it) and it was like almost 2 weeks solid grinding for 18 of them!
I still need 57 of them to finish all Empy body armor for 3 more jobs!
This isn't counting ardor Jewels, Coins or Stones I need.

I never orignally completed many empy sets so the login campaign is helping me a lot to get some more done. :)

Yeah, those guys don't qualify as mobs guaranteed to drop the +2s though

Alfard is absolutely guaranteed to drop an ardor card no matter what. If you grellow him, he's guaranteed to drop two, and might drop three. Far better way of going about it if it's only cards you need.

Mobs like Hedjedjet can be worth it if you only need 1-2 more and don't feel like farming up a pop set, or if you also need the other +2 that it drops (ardor jewel in this case), but if what you're really after is a ******** of cards, I'd suggest looking into Alfard. Even with a grellow on Hedjedjet you can walk away with no cards.

Can the +2 items be ported between characters on the same account? I was able to do that with the +1 items, but wasn't sure if I could for the +2.

They can be sent, used to keep seals and +2 on my mule.

Same here. Though right now it's an unused mule since I don't have anything I need to upgrade anymore, I had a mule that was essentially just a seal/+2 item holder.

There's a problem with Alfard as you need to put time in to farming pops for a another NM (Ningishzida which needs x3 pop items) proc red (I can't do that on BST) and then get yellow proc on Alfard.
You can equally skip Ningishzida altogether by gold box farming but then again that can be totally random and at times can use up your 120 mins without seeing a drop if you were unlucky.

So with time invested in getting the drops, either way you choose to go, it may not be any better then the last NM you tried.
I picked Hedjed because he was a timed spawn which ment very little competition these days as he was almost always up and no farming involved at all.
His drop rate for Ardor cards was good but was very rare to see more then one drop each time and sometimes he occasionally dropped nothing.

Saying that... A friend of mine had an Alfard pop and agreed to let me use it.
We had bst x2, blm/whm and nin/war for that fight which was pretty rough as the other bst and blm weren't really well geared.
The other bst didn't have ducal guard either so his pets were getting eaten a lot faster then mine but it seemed a long fight.
So in reflection, it's swings and round abouts about which method is the fastest to obtain +2 items.

This a great news for casual players. The last login campaign helped me a ton in getting full PLD AF3+1 and some for RDM and WAR. This is even better news. Looks like their goal is to get more people into VW and into the new Exp. I for one have not stepped foot in the new Exp since its release.

MY QUESTION though on the AF3 +2 items. What was the requirement "relaxed" to? Before update it was 6 for everything but body and 9 for Body AF3 +2 upgrades. Someones in my LS said it was dropped to 4. Confirmation?

Thanks.

I know they've mentioned (FINALLY) adjusting lvl 99 RME weapons to be competitive with Delve weapons. Has there been any discussion on if and how they will be lowering the number of items needed to upgrade empy's from 90 to 95 and/or 95 to 99? (1500 HMP seems like an impossible number given the current population's lack of participation in VW.)

From what I've seen on BG so far, absolutely nothing's changed on anything on RMEs. Only WoE weapons were lowered.
#17Almalieque, Posted: Nov 05 2013 at 3:27 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Oh yea.. I figured they would drop the +2 items.. That's why I decided to wait. When the game comes crashing to embarrassing low numbers, they'll start handing out weapon upgrades... This is milking at it's finest.

If they didn't want a term like that to enter the popular lexicon, they should have made the !! more clearly green or more clearly yellow.

But they didn't, so grellow it is.

You actually can't do the gold box farming for Alfard if that's what you meant; only two KIs drop in that zone, and they are for Amphitrite and Azdaja. You can get things like Jaculus Wings from the gold boxes, as long as they are of tier 3-4 quality and not tier 5 (the big gold boxes) quality.

But anyway, all I know is that I've helped a friend with Alfard Fangs trial and by the end of it we both had more ardor cards than we could possibly use, and we got them a whole lot faster than we would have off anything else.

Since the log in campaigns are so close together, why not allow us to keep our points?

Confirm that it's 200 point per AF3+2 upgrade item, so can buy 23 max per character at the end of the campaign!

Nope. And that's why I'm using all my points on main for SKCs, and encouraging my friends to do the same so we can do the fights! Can still use mules for +2 items though.
