Last but not least, our pilot for this journey will be a certain man straight from Zilart!

Full steam ahead!

In the official forums they've already said:

We're currently looking into making a slight increase to avatar and wyvern accuracy in the January version update. While there won't be huge changes due to this, when summoners equip their high level sachet, avatars will land their auto-attacks more easily.

So that looks like at least one part of it, remains to be seen whether there are additional pet adjustments or whether BST and PUP are also included.

I think there might be something more, if only because one of the three images in the banner is of a BST. That, and experience has taught me that if you follow Anza, it will be the wrong way :)

Looks like a new hard mode fight for Kam'lanaut in the ZM missions or Apocalypse Nigh. Would be an awesome reward to add a Cipher for him. I'm guessing just because of the 3 things in the picture that they are adding old NM kills like Roc to Records of Eminence.

We’ve also been considering ideas to reduce the consumption of jugs, and we’ll be trying to strike a proper balance between this and recipe adjustments.

Might be this.

Might be this.

It better be that you buy one jug and it never gets consumed ever. You decided to let RNG never use any ammo ever, between the 95% recycle proc rate and scavenge giving back the other 5%, and even COR can get 75%ish recycle rate, and with quickdraw never using bullets in the first place. Hell, they even added ways for NIN to get 85~ish% free ninjutsu casts, and have added several ways to not use quickdraw cards to COR. Yet BST has needed a new jug every time they call a pet, every time we zone because they are the only entities that depop on a zone, (doing 6 BCNM orbs, you'll need at least 6 jugs, and better hope they're not the ones that are 200k each) and even if you keep it alive and don't zone, they despawn after 2 hours for no reason.

It's like SE decided the entire economy has to be based on the only consumables anyone uses anymore: jugs. They need to be like attachments. Buy one, equip it, you've learned to summon the monster for free, forever. And if they're all kept in their own "Jug pet menu" like attachments, all the better. That we have to keep shoving consumable biscuits and mulsums down their gobs is more than enough gil sink, thank you.

I could see a middle ground where it's like, "Summon X 99 times, learn it forever..." It'll still be a niche market, but it'd also give more dedicated BSTs a bone.

Why the hell doesn't this update involve an actual airship in any way.

Huh..was wondering when they'd **** this system up. Let's hope they make them spawn regularly now or add multiple copies somewhere. Even with a low population, there's still enough to make this annoying as ****.

They greatly reduced respawn timers on most old-world NMs a while back, so there's that

Yep, though it doesn't affect most supported regions unless for some reason they celebrate it..because why not.

(Since MLK wasn't a Japanese rights leader nor British rights leader, nor German etc.)

No excuse.. I live in Japan and my phone says "Martin Luther King, Jr's Day" and is highlighted as a holiday. It's really not that hard to schedule maintenance on non federally recognized holidays.

Vivi-Valve II might be useful, except autos have absurdly awful curing AI. Sure, maybe its cure V will do 1000 instead of 500 (or whatever low amount) like it does now, but it will still only use V and VI no matter what! I hope it at least gets adjusted so it will do V when V's new and improved value will cap the target...

And a better delay- attachment is cool, but not helpful if you want to make PUP useful for new content. Missing more often isn't useful. Sure, it will make it better for low level content, but it's not bad at low level content now! It's pretty great at it, really. It's just that if you go to a difficult or higher SCNM, or to AA, the auto has pretty awful accuracy.

I think that maybe the new animators give big bonuses to magic accuracy skill and magic damage, so maybe I'm now doing-it-wrong for high level fights. (Mage used to be the way to go for HNM and stuff, back in the 75 days, but it got left behind with the Alternator). But still, if that's what we're supposed to be doing now, where's the +magic damage attachment? ;)

I wonder how much of a boost there was to BST pets. With players having so much stat vomit on their gear pets just can't provide the same percentage of damage as they used to. Unfortunately I am skeptical that what they have done will be enough to make a dent in the gap between BST and other jobs. Unless prices for new jugs crash I can't afford to play on a job that costs more to play than any other and is less powerful. I hope I'm wrong.
