Can't wait to be back in Vana'diel!

MAAAAAAN I was THERE man! lol seriously though, I got the PS2 release of FFXI like the same month it came out, and on my parents dial-up I reveled in the mystery and grand-scale of everything, from La Theine plateau as a weeeeebly San'Dorian taru (***** those nation rings! my bros were in sandy lol), or as a quiet Galkan fisher/miner/itemwhoreforallmyothercharacters in Bastok, or that mysteriously androgynous 'Imadude'-named Mithra from Windhurst, lol, I was head of several linkshells and a passive member in several others, some lasting a long time and some blinking out like nothing ever happened.

I felt like I had a really great time, exploring all the different possibilities of FFXI~

But one thing I never did, was get into the upper levels. I got to the point where we were in the crawler's nest, and heck I think there was even a place in that mysterious forest that I won't dare to even pronounce from memory... if memory serves me you have to go there for the Samurai job quest. Beyond that... I do recall doing one Genkai mission but that was it =/ and heck, as far as actual storyline-missions went, I don't think I made it past rank 5. I paid 100k to this awesome DRG or Dark Knight to even be a mercenary for the mission, but we all wiped out in the battle with that basturd way up north, the one where you pretty much had to have a Paladin for (we did, but it went awry, anyways... still we had a helluva time sneaking around the mobs to get up to that fight lol).

I wonder if they ever fixed that PS2 glitch where you could run out in the sea, in Valkurm?

So! Anyways now I'm back~ I was in a couple different servers, but used the names Faraku, Arrona, Imadude, and Sakusa, Sakaia, Sakeya... and Fidora. I'm gonna see if I can punch in any of my old names and maybe some old bros will recognize me and shower me with gilzorz ^_~m

...Between this, online classes, and massive alcoholism, I'm thinking it'll be the best year I've had in a long time! I'll see you soon dudes!

Oh yeah I wanted to ask, anyone out there feel like their server is particularly... good for people just coming back, lvl 1, with no clue? I was in Quetzalcoatl, Siren and Sylph... I think I'll go back to Sylph if anything, it was a lot of fun there if I recall.
