Prepare for better rewards and more comfortable adventures with these two new events!

  • Event Details
1) Campaign Festa
Campaign will undergo the following adjustments throughout the event.

- Experience and allied notes earned from evaluations will be doubled.
- The amount of spoils obtained from treasure chests when participating in unions will be increased.

The possibilities in this festa are endless: acquire notes to exchange for the alter egos available in the Summer Alter Ego Extravaganza, earn some campaign medals, or simply take the opportunity to gain some levels.

A future version update will contain some content that will resonate with those who have completed the Wings of the Goddess story. One of the other benefits of this event is that medals will no longer be forfeited upon proceeding with quests that accompany this main storyline, providing the perfect opportunity to see the mission to its exciting climax.

Furthermore, the following four Campaign Ops will provide special rewards in addition to their normal spoils, including montiont silverpieces, 100-byne bills, Lungo-Nango jadeshells, and more.

- Splitting Heirs
- Cracking Shells
- Plucking Wings
- Fiat Lux

Campaign Period: Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 1:00 a.m. (PDT) to Tuesday, July 29 at the same hour.

2) Alter Ego Expo
Alter egos will receive the following improvements for the duration of the event.

- Maximum HP and MP will be increased by a factor of 1.5.
- A strong resistance to status ailments will be granted.

With alter egos ready to join your parties as of the June version update, and level syncing becoming available in July, there's never been a better time to take these storied characters into battle!

Campaign Period: Tuesday, July 8, 2014 from 1:00 a.m. (PDT) to Tuesday, July 22 at the same hour.

Cool event, now how about allowing me to call two more Trusts giving me a full party, and call it a day.

Awesome, I do like campaign. Good time to work on the storyline. Kind of silly to offer special rewards for battlefields no one can do though...

The whole point is to get people doing campaign in order to make those battlefields available again >_>

Depending on exactly what they mean by improved spoils from unions though, I fear it won't be enough. People might have cared about double allied notes back when Voidwatch was still being done, but now I don't think anyone does.

I get that that's the point but I just don't see it happening, and a LOT of the playerbase isn't even high enough rank medal to do them anyway...I mean, how many people have medal of Altana? I've been picking away at the damn ranks for ages and I've only gotten to the wings ranks... the 5 day minimum wait sort of kills it...

Someone on Sylph was paying attention, they took all the northlands except throne room this week. Throne room is already 100% Windurst from the Fiat Lux spam, and people are still camping Zvahl areas to kill campaign mobs. (I'm just doing drive-bys on the way to Fiat Lux and back.) And the extra XP and stuff hadn't even begun yet.

Yeah... still sad I cannot get medals fast enough. Would need a minumum of 50 days to get medal of altana. Apparently Fiat Lux drops marrows during the campaign

That's why you get stuff cleared ahead of time, right? It only takes an hour or two a week, which is nothing compared to how much some people farm dynamis, which is even older content.

I have been working on it on and off but when I was not really playing I lost a bunch of medals. I don't have much playtime. Anyway, it would be fine if it was only a day wait but I forget when the 5 days are up etc. And given that the content is generally not rewarding at all, it should be easy to understand why I spent limited playime on things that reward current gear and Gil

Wasn't like I could have predicted this would happen. Lot of people thought I was wasting time working on it at all given I still need to finish TOAU and zilart

You only lose a medal if you start one and then don't do enough to keep it before it expires.

What that means is that if you're not going to play for a while, don't renew a medal right before you stop playing. When you renew a medal, do enough battles to get the next medal, and then you not only won't lose the medal, you'll gain one when you start playing again.

But be aware that there is a little decay over the month, so if you do just enough that the guy says you can get the next medal after 5 days, that doesn't mean you've properly mothballed your medal. But it's not a lot of decay, so just go crazy on battles for a few hours and you'll probably be okay.

Or just finish the damn mission content already. >.> They don't give you higher medals automatically, but do prevent you from losing them. Most of them can even be soloed at 99 by some jobs. (But probably not all of them on the same job.)

...and it looks like whoever on Sylph opened up northlands finally got tired of Fiat Lux. Doesn't look like we'll be keeping it for a third week. People just don't want to fight in two zones that take 5-15 minutes just to get there.

^^ This.

I just spent a week doing the WotG missions completely solo (even the final fight with Lilith) on THF and occasionally blm (looking at you fight outside of windurst). Now all I need to do is start from bronze ribbon of service.... uggggg. No conveinient Fiat Lucre for me.... :(

Yeah I've been working on them, but I don't have a lot of playtime. Like I played 2 hours last week. Given all the nonsense running back and forth that's like one to 3 mission steps when there is like 70+ of them. I also don't enjoy missions - and since I play games to enjoy myself, I don't choose to use my playtime on them often. Also, I'm trying to finish Zilart right now, since that is gating me from more content than WoTG.
