75 gear which is still desirable/best in slot at 99?Follow
Just wondering if any 75 gear is still best in slot for a level 99 or at least highly desirable until you get x rare item for any jobs? noticed behemoth still seems to be in demand? or our people just killing him because its easy to get beastly shanks from the login campaigns? defending ring still looks very good for plds with 10% dmg reduction. is black belt still the best waist for monks? i did see a lvl 99 pld decked out in 119 jse gear but was still wearing a brutal earring!? anything else?
There is very, very little lvl 75 gear that is in significant demand at this point, although you did hit on a few pieces.
Defending ring is still the best damage mitigation ring, and for most jobs, piece in general, and thus remains in high demand.
Brutal earring can be useful, but normally only in combination with another DA earring that is obtained through high level content; otherwise, there is a relatively easy to access earring set from delve that is better.
Rajas ring is useful in some builds. There are a few other pieces that have some specialist value, for example in idle sets, but particularly because of the new reforging process for AF and Relic armors, those pieces that did have niche purpose are now outclassed.
For the most part, lvl 75 gear is either obsolete, or in the case of relic and AF gear and relic and mythic weapons, they are a stepping stone to improved ilvl versions.

I still use Sha'ir Manteel for my song casting time reduction set.

Don't forget about skadi +1 shoes, they're 18% boost like Fajin Boots, and Salvage is quite a bit more soloable than Qilin is.
Yeah, BB is a novelty -PDT piece and most MNKs try to cap haste without belt to use Windbuffet.
Some perfect synergy pieces still retain value as Blood Mask with QD-5 sec, Seiryu's kotes with STP+5 and Crit rate+3 and a few others like that...
Genbu's Shield is still nice for mages. Roundel Earring still useful. I still use Pythia Sash +1 and Colossus's Torque on WHM. Also, some of the add-on items can still be useful, such as Selenian Cap and whatnot. I still use Evoker's Ring on SMN, of course.
There are still Lv75 items that are useful, but they are few and far between.

Just about any "Enhances X effect" piece is still good.
I still have Loquacious and Magnetic earrings for my resting sets.
