Mules, Red Pells, and Lebondopt/Puchidropt Wings QFollow

So.. I think I saw a discussion about this, but I don't remember which thread it was in...

Is it possible to use a mule to turn in a Red Pell for Lebondopt Wings, have that mule buy a suit of armor, send it to Mule B who gets Puchidropt Wings to upgrade one of the pieces, and then send the upgraded piece back to my main?

I noted on BG-wiki that the armor sets _and_ their +1 versions have the "CanSendPOL" flag on them, so it should work, as long as there are no requirements for turning the stuff in.

Is there a level/quest/etc requirement to buy armor from Lola or upgrade armor with the Taru whos name I can't remember?

Does this actually work?

EDIT: Obviously I'd have to get my mules Adoulin Access to get to Lola/the taru, that's not hard to do.

Yes.

No level requirement for both, however the mule you're using to +1 will need 4k bayld. Easy if you use the green pell for copper vouchers and converting them for bayld.

Good thing you specified the bayld thing; I didn't know about the bayld cost, lol. Somehow overlooked that while reading the wiki information.

I find that both FFXI-clopedia and BG-wiki are sometimes hard to find good information on some things, like if you look up "Lebondopt Wing", it'll just show a picture of the item in-game and......that's it. No information or anything.

I've gotten a LOT of items out of the Gobbie Chests that I have no idea WTF they're for without doing 15+min of digging through wiki pages lol.

But anyways, I digress...

Thanks for the info!

I've got 5 mules, each have 2 Greens and 2 Reds (I didn't spend the last ones).. I'm thinking I can get the entire mage +1 set, and two of my mules even got one lebondopt wing from the gobbie box already. lol.

If it's Bayld for mules you want, why not just do Courier's Coalition assignments? Even if no one's already done the colonization reives, you can do them on your main and then move people through before they repop. And stealth items to get past the other aggro stuff are pretty cheap these days.

There's also another option if you want to save the vouchers in case you want to turn a mule into a Salvage farmer someday.

In Western and Eastern Adoulin there's two quests designed to lead you around the zone. One's for doing a postal/patrol run and the other is for activating all the waypoints. You get a bit of EXP 500 from each quest. That's 2K from doing all four quests and it only takes around 10 minutes. When you land in Adoulin and talk to Brenton to get your Pioneering Badge you also get another 1K Bayld. If you do a single 3 stone turnin to Ceizak in a Courier assignment run that'll give you 1,800 if you hit #3, but I *believe* turning in 3 to #1 will be more than enough to get you at least 1K Bayld.

All in all it takes around 15 minutes once you get to Adoulin.
