A new, content-packed version update is set to land early this November!

Along with the concluding chapter to Rhapsodies of Vana'diel, the November version update will conclude the Seekers of Adoulin "Vegetable Vegetable Revolution" quest series.

That's not all! Fearsome notorious monsters await in Geas Fete, Wanted battles, and Domain Invasion, each guarding a horde of resplendent spoils. Rank 7 monster rearing will also be introduced along with a hefty expansion to job points and gifts -- a veritable cornucopia of improvements and additions!

To think there won't be any major updates after this one feels like the end of a long journey. I don't know if I'll revisit the game due to how much the rules for the game has changed over the years and how clunky it feels compared to XIV.

I dunno. I'm trying really hard right now to imagine what a baby cactuar should look like and can't come up with anything different.

It does feel clunkier..but it at least has content. Shame we won't get the full Far East because everything shifted over to XIV development but hey I'd take this over 3-5 months of nothing after you clear the actual content in XIV in the first 2-3 weeks barring stupid content like Alex Savage 3/4.

Oh thank lordy.

Now do this for Incursion, too? plzkthx

Got all excited about trusts being added to Incursion a while ago... only to find out you still need 3 people to get inside. Way to be a buzzkill.

It's basically Escha's "voidwatch"

Grab a key item, go to a ???, pop some gimmicky NM, hopefully kill it, repeat. You have temp items to help you out (although they are "normal" temp items earned through normal zone activities and not temps that you get specifically from the NM fight) and although you don't have atmacites, you do have whatever vorseals you've earned, which are more or less intended to serve the same sort of purpose.

You're able to use trusts for it, but unlike voidwatch you still require at least 3 human players to participate, like Incursion.

If you're asking why it has that oddball name, I don't even know. Honestly, I'm not sure it's even mentioned anywhere in the game itself; we've only seen it in these update notes/previews.

In addition, some of the items dropped by the NMs are upgradable using eschalixirs, which are possibly dropped by any mob in Escha. Very similar to the airlixir system in delve. Some of the NMs also drop the abjurations for the new cursed gear, and some other high grade gear. First-time kills of NMs will normally get you a new vorseal.

While Fynlar is right that it is not mentioned much by characters in the game, Geas Fete seems to be the end-game of Escha... making it the end-game of the end-game? But hey, no NPCs really mentioned the gods in sky or jailers in sea, they all just seems to hang out quietly until a bunch of adventurers show up.

Yeah I get mentioning it by NPCs for a QoL sake but...as said, Sky/Sea technically "don't exist", they're just legends, even moreso for Sea, so it's kind of weird if some Hume child running around starts mentioning Byakko and Kirin and the fact you have to go through Ru'Avitau or Velugannon.

Agreed, but at the same time, there is basically no background or plot given for the Shijin or jailers. They're just there because they are. the shijin makes a little sense what with being associated with the four winds, but that is still a little bit of a stretch, even more so for the jailers. And since a large part of the RoZ and CoP storylines focused on getting you to those places, there could have been some off comments along the way. Or at least a stone slab or carving or something depicting their capture, or, well... something.

NPCs not knowing about sky gods or jailers doesn't really surprise me much if you consider nobody should've been in their respective locales until we basically unlocked them. In this case, Escha access isn't so... restricted, which can lend itself to scouting parties and all that before we actually get involved.

Whelp. I for sure won't be ******* with Aeonic weapons if it's following the RME and Ergon system. It's a nice "long term" quest due to no future large updates but still, I don't think outside of Escha stuff and the Fete NMs they added too much Rhapsodies wise to support an "ultimate weapon" without dipping into older content unless the Resen stuff is going to be that significant. Wonder if the SAM one will allow us to use the exclusive SC Tenzen uses in CoP.

I'm expecting this quest to reward an enchanted belt or something that dispenses 12 rarab tails per use.

Oh yeah, and maybe something actually useful too.

A lot of people store them up as the costs get pretty high eventually, so may as well store em then spend em all in one go since I know I'm not the only person who gets pissed when I'm 1-4 points short of a final upgrade or getting an extra one.
