MobileXI - Not what you thinkFollow

Sitting in Orlando International Airport, had an 8 hour wait for my flight. Broke out my portable ffxi setup.

8" atom tablet running windows 10, ultra comptact bluetooth keyboard, ultra slim controller.

I may not have ultra high resolution or a solid 30fps, but it's definitely playable.

What'd you do to end up in The Box?

Week long vacation, my wife booked our return flight at 8pm so we could have an extra day to do stuff. However, we were dead by the end, so just crashed in the airport all day since we had to check out of the hotel at 10am.

For a second, I thought this was going to be about the new mobile XI game.

Now, as long as I've brought that up...

Any chance the NX might have access to the Android store? And if so, wouldn't it be cool to possibly play mobile XI on your HDTV?

It'd be cool but it's not really Nintendo's style. They're more the walled garden with barbed wire and sharpshooters type.

Depends honestly, Nintendo did seek people who were versed in Android/iOS development recently.

So, an alternative to ffxi on the desktop is ffxi mobile, a stripped down version of ffxi desktop, which you then want to play on the desktop... Seems like you've gone full circle there.

No, I'm talking about possibly playing a graphically enhanced version of FFXI on my HDTV while laying on my couch -- and one that SE might actually create new content for, given that the company would have newly created graphic resources and updated development options.

Not even sure if I'd play it on the NX, though. I'm getting my fix on the desktop version, and I'm already feeling kind of tapped out on repeating Ambuscade.
