Announcing the October Version Update

A fine day to you, adventurers! Matsui here with your monthly update.

Without further ado, let’s delve into what you can expect to be implemented on Tuesday, October 11.

As has been the norm over the past several updates, Ambuscade will undergo its monthly makeover, with all-new rewards to get a hold of and a bevy of new foes to tackle.

A new alter ego will be taking center stage, complete with a quest to obtain her. We’ve also planned some adjustments to various existing alter egos, so please take this opportunity to try out some of your favorite NPC friends who may have been sitting on the bench.

We’ve heard many of you asking for adjustments to Voidwatch and survival guides on the official forums, and we’re pleased to prepare a couple changes to dialogue options with an emphasis on making the content easier to enjoy. Of course, we have other small quality of life improvements on the way as well.

At the bottom of this post is a table detailing what’s in store for October. As always, these items continue to undergo testing, so there is a possibility that last-minute issues may prevent us from including all of them in the update.

BWUHHH

Wasn't Ark Angel EV agreed upon to be female, or were we just wrong, or is this an oversight? >_>

Aw, heck. Sounds like a Mayakov trust incoming...

Well, a Mayakov trust already exists. Technically they could make a second one (wouldn't be the first time it's happened) but I don't see them doing it for a comparatively minor comic-relief WotG character (compared to Lilisette)

They're really hinting at Ark Angel EV being the new trust -- seeing as how we got Ark Angel GK last patch, we know all 5 of them are in the dats, and there's an image of Ark Angel EV there in the header. Don't forget you fight the Ark Angels in an *amphitheater* if you're really looking for some probably-unintended hidden meaning behind the words "center stage" (but I really think it was just a metaphor)

The only thing I was mildly shocked about was the insinuation that Ark Angel EV is actually male.

Wouldn't put it past Japan to play the trap card, but yeah, I always thought female, too.

Yeah, copy-paste error since they don't write every single update that adds "copied" content manually, the same happens with FFXIV patch notes occasionally.
