Issues logging on. Follow

So I just reactivated my account and logged on. Messed around with my macros a little, zoned out to Jeuno with no problems. I then try to zone into Escha RuAun but I get stuck on the loading screen. I figured I got disconnected, No problem, right? But I've been trying to log back in now for the last 30 minute with no luck.. I get to the black screen with the downloading data message at the bottom. Eventually I get the error code ffxi-3001" message saying there is no response from the server. I tried logging on with my mule and got on right away. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there an issue on my side or does it have to do with the Escha RuAun zone? Any help is appreciated..

That's... odd.

Best guess would be something wrong with the transfer mechanism the server uses to move you between zones. The only thing I can recommend would be to wait a couple hours or so and try again. If it's still no good, you're going to have to contact SE support and get them to move your character back to a usable position for you.

This is a problem I've encountered from time to time and I honestly think it's some weird server security system on SE's end reacting to damaged/lost packets and temporarily locking the IP you use out. If you've got some way to manually receive a new one from your ISP, try it. Some also do it if you physically disconnect and power down your modem for 30m or so. Otherwise, it's possible to be stuck in this limbo for over 8 hours.

Thanks for the advice! Unfortunately I'm still stuck. Looks like I'll need to contact SE. :/

Not sure the GMs will be of help. When this first happened to me, I'd tried contacting one from a mule to see if they could force a homepoint on me or something, but they pretty much refused.

If you feel like you're not getting anywhere and the problem doesn't resolve itself, I could try logging you in and moving you out of the zone to see if that fixes it. Nonetheless, I 100% understand if you don't trust some random internet person to do that, so if you've got a friend where you could try an install on, that'd be an okay Plan B.

I'd run a file check, just to be sure. When it happened to me in adoulin, I tried all the above methods to no avail, what fixed it for me was doing a file check, apparently some file was corrupted.
