Announcing Phase One of the Returnee Support Campaign

Over the next three months, we'll be rolling out a series of campaigns designed to assist those adventurers who are returning to Vana'diel after a period of absence, whether brief or otherwise. The first phase has three separate parts that will help players improve their item level. It's a perfect time to get yourself ready for the latest that FINAL FANTASY XI has to offer!

First Step Forward
One system that FINAL FANTASY XI introduced several years ago is called Records of Eminence. If you've never tried your hand at these objectives, they're a wonderful place to start! In Records of Eminence, you complete objectives and earn currency for objectives that you set for your character, including besting monsters, experiencing specific battle content, and more. This currency can be exchanged for item level 117 equipment as well as a plethora of other goodies. To begin, select ?Basics? from the Tutorial submenu, set the objective "Call Forth an Alter Ego," and follow the steps laid out for you!

Read on for more about Records of Eminence.

Phase One: Improve your item level!
Once you've gotten the hang of Records of Eminence, the next step is bumping your item level from 117 to 119. There are three main paths that you can take to acquiring item level 119 equipment and a variety of useful weapons, and you can mix and match these options in a way that best fits your playstyle.

Campaign Period: Saturday, November 11, at 12:00 a.m. (PST) to Thursday, November 30, at 6:59 a.m.

Read on for details.

If you like going at your own pace, you'll love the Bonus Bayld Campaign!
If you like going at your own pace or have never had cause to visit Seekers of Adoulin areas, you'll love the Bonus Bayld Campaign!
Contributing to colonization efforts in Adoulin rewards players with a type of currency known as "bayld," which can be exchanged for a variety of item level 119 equipment. Learn more about the western continent as you power up your character!

Contributions to pioneering include participating in battle content such as colonization and lair reives as well as exploration content such as coalition assignments.

Read on for information about reives.

Up for more battle-focused content? The Skirmish Frenzy Campaign - PLUS! has just what you need!
Once you've gotten familiar with the Sacred City of Adoulin, you might want to enjoy more party-based battle content. Experience thrilling party-based battles in Alluvion Skirmishes, where you can earn item level 119 equipment, as well as materials to further augment them, just by besting the evils within.

Read on for information about Alluvion Skirmishes.

Feel like making some money? Try wildskeeper reives!
If you think equipment is nothing without cold, hard cash to back it up, Wildskeeper Reives might be right up your alley. The Nakuaals—fearsome beasts prowling Adoulin's outlying areas—threaten the colonization effort and require a large number of players to take down. Everyone who participates is guaranteed a reward if the beasts are felled, and players can even receive high-purity bayld, a hot-selling item that players of all stripes are looking to acquire!

Read on for information about wildskeeper reives.

---
Once you've conquered some of the challenges above, you're ready to take the plunge in Dynamis. You might remember slogging through it at level 75, but with your newfound high item level equipment you can slice through it like a hot knife through butter. During the Dynamis Granules of Time Campaign you won't have to go through the steps of obtaining the necessary key items, meaning you can skip the bookkeeping and get right into combat!

Additionally, certain other campaigns that can speed you on the way to victory will be held during specific periods.

Friday, November 17, at 7:00 a.m. (PST) to Saturday, November 18, at 6:59 a.m.
