You know what really Grinds my Gears?Follow

#1 Feb 04 2006 at 3:49 AM Rating: Decent
The only thing That Grinds my Gears is ppl who think they are better than the rest of the PT

EX.
I was a PLD in a pt with an LS member and i got this THF as a replacement for someone, atm he was the only puller seeking.

I think the pt was but really am only sure about the WHM me the THF and the RDM

THF (*******)
WHM (LS memeber)
RDM
BLM
PLD (me)
MNK

So he pulled hte 1st mob and it linked so i died while the rest of the pt got out safe i get tractored and raised.

After i Recover the THF then pulls another Link and i die again

About this time im gettin a little tired of dieing but really dont care cause this is just a job i play for fun

Then the 1st time he pulls a non Linking mob and messes up SATA he blames the WHM for taking hate when the Backup tank was about to die cause he didnt hit SATA fast enough.
Also says the WHM who is my LS member is a N00b

Then starts calling me inexpierienced.

At this time out of Concern for hte party i start chatting with my WHM buddy and some others with /tells asking if its just me or this guy has some issues.

After that he fails another SATA and starts really ********* At this point the WHM died im just like you know what "If you dont like it leave" and he is like fine.

About 20mins later we disban from not being able to find anyone to fill 6th spot.

But we all left feeling good about screwin that ******* over on his EXP.

You have the two hour ability INVINCIBLE.

Why did you die twice?

Where were the sleeps from both the rdm and the blm?

When I play bard in krt I could care less if 5 links blood aggro. It's more fun that way. Obvioulsy, not dying myself is a part of the equation. You have MP. You have HP. It's your call too when to ditch and zone.

THFs are generally notoriously unskilled players raising up through the ranks.

Invincibled on the 1st pull when linked while they tried to sleep. I voked the pulled mob
attacked the 2nd then
went back to the 1st
used invincible so taht hate from it would goto me on both and mages could stay alive

BTW sleep was resisted.

I used everything in my past 40 levels of PLD knowledge to stay alive and keep the pt alive but Esc just came to late

im not complainin on my deaths but how *** *** this THF was to the pt

The same could be said of BRDs.

It's the Thief's job to Perfect Dodge/Logout or die in a situation where the party can't handle the link.
I also wonder how much you were overhunting since you say a RDM failed to sleep the mob.

This can be said about a lot of jobs. The job, level and rank someone is says nothing about whether or not they are any good.

I believe that any non-skilled player can ***** up a party realy bad whatever thear job, especialy if that player thinks they know everything. I will never belive that im better than anyone else, i know more about some things than others while others know more about things where i have no clue.

I take pride in the fact that i do every job to the best of my ability, and if someone tells me im doing something wrong i ask them politely to help me understand what im doing wrong. i take thear advice and try my very best to implament that in to my routeen.

On thf if i get link i usualy tell them LINK!! then get close enuff to the party for them to see me so they can take the mob i pulled and hopefully the mages will run out to help with the link.If i ***** up i say im sorry and do my best to be more carefull not to make the same mistake.

Not using the clutch?LoL sorry just a little joke.

Ok about that situation, the THF seems like he was a real ***. But you guys could have moved to a different location and and fought eaiser mobs with the 5 of you to keep the exp going.

When I play as THF and I get links, and I know the party can't handle a link i'll try and zone or get to a point that is safe and die. One persons exp loss is better than a whole PT's IMO.Sorry to hear you had a bad experiance with that THF.

The thing that really grids my gears is people who use *** or gay to mean bad. Leonidus, please, on behalf of ******* everywhere, please set yourself on fire. My concern for your problem was real until you took the path of the moron and the 12 year old and said.

Sincerely

see where he said generally? did he say "every thf is unskilled"? no, so unless you suck out loud I don't see why you're taking offense.

Thats alright .. not to change the subject too much but my story involves a ****** whm. party set up as follows.

Nin/war
Rng/nin
Thf/not sure didn't look at sub
Blm/whm "me"
whm/rdm asshat
sam/war

the rng pulls a mandy in the jungle.. we agreed that if he linked a gob drag it back and ill sleep.. It had happened like 3 times before and i never failed to sleep it. No one had died thus far.. Well the rng comes back with the linking gob .. i sleep it and they kill the mandy .. well super ******** whm coughhimurocough divine seals curaga's and we go to work on the gob.. Well after a few mins we get a double bomb toss back to back and everyones heading for the red. This stupid *** whm gets hit and instead of healing uses instant warp scroll, goes back to jueno and logs. No explanation nothing, leaving me to heal the party with my subed lvl 15 whm.. needless to say one died before we killed the gob. So trust me i know how the Op feels on this subject.
