Imperial ID Tags (Assault)Follow

I'm trying to work out just how these things are distributed. So far the word has been that you get 3 per day, but that doesn't seem to mesh with what I've been seeing.

On my first day I was offered 3 tags and used them all, expecting that they would be replenished in 24 hours. The next day, however, probably about 30 hours after my previous runs, I was still being offered only one tag. The NPC told me that another one would be available the following afternoon, about 48 hours after my runs on the first day (either the first run or the last, I don't remember).

This seems to suggest that one tag is issued per day, probably up to a maximum of 3. But other people, who I think have done at least as much Assault as me, confidently assure me that it is 3 tags per day, with each tag becoming available again 24 hours after you receive it.

So who's confused here, them or me?

You get 3 your first time. after that it is 1 per 24 hours.. so for example, you open up assult and do 3 assults this uses up all your ID tags and have to wait 24h at which point you will be able to get 1 ID tag. You can never have more then 3 ID tags.. If you wait 2 days you will have 2 if you wait 5 days you will have 3...
