Allakhazam Design ContestFollow

We are going to open up an Allakhazam store and sell site related items like t-shirts. We were kicking around some designs and realized that the best thing to do is to tap the creative talent of our community. Thus, we are announcing a contest. Here are the rules:

1. In this contest we will be looking for designs to be added to the Allakhazam Merchandise Store. These designs can include artistic renderings of game-specific races and jobs, humorous phrases capturing the essence of the Allakhazam Community, cartoons of Allakhazam related themes, etc. Use your imagination. We will consider anything that is not pornographic or overly offensive.

2. All submissions must be in the form of an image. The Image submitted must be 200 dpi and 2000 pixels in either length or height. The Image should be in .PNG format with a transparent background and must include one of the following terms: "Zam.com", "Allakhazam.com", or "Allakhazam's Magical Realm". Designs with a "halo" around it will not be considered. If your image is not in this format it will automatically fail to qualify.

3. You may submit as many entries as you like. Individuals can win multiple times if they submit more than one image that we accept.

4. Your design(s) must be an original work of art and may not include the logos or names of any games, logos of companies aside from ours, or any copyrighted or trademarked material. Should you use any pre-made clipart for your design, the image must be royalty-free and authorized for use on apparel. In addition, we ask that you not feature company created characters such as Illidan from Warcraft or Shantotto from FFXI, or use any in game graphics to create your design.

5. All winning images become the sole property of the Zam Network and we retain all rights to their use thereafter. By submitting to the contest, you are agreeing to give up any rights you would otherwise own for that image or phrase should it be selected.

6. We will likely pick multiple winners. However, if there are no submissions that we like, we reserve the right to not pick any winner. The number of winning entries is uncertain and depends upon how many entries we get that we like. Judging will be at the sole discretion of the allakhazam staff.

7. If your image is picked, you will get a one year premium membership, and when the image has been incorporated into the store, a set of 2 products of your choice with your image on it (for example a t-shirt and mug). If you are a forum poster, we will also give you a custom title.

8. Please send all images to pikko@allakhazam.com with the caption "Allakhazam Store Image Contest Submission".

Please make a shirt that says "NERF THE ASYLUM"

Are we allowed to use the NAME of an in-game character? For example a shirt that says 'Zeid is my hero' (I picked a lame tagline for demonstrative purposes). Would that be acceptable? Also what about cartoon charicatures of recognizeable FFXI npcs? Does 'no Shantoto' mean 'no images of Shantoto' or 'nothing at ALL even related to Shantoto?'

1)Do the designs have to relate to ALL of the games here at Alla. Or, cuz i only play ffxi, can all my designs be just aimed at FFXI here at alla?
(ie: i can make designs that just deal with ffxi, then put the alla info somewhere.)
2) Whens your deadline? I goto college..weekends come and go fast..Lot of time to work? or do you want everything by next month lol?

1) No, they do not.

2) We haven't really got a hard deadline, but 1 or 2 weeks is probably how we'll do it.

I want to do something where it has all races and jobs of every single game found here in Alla having one massive battle against one another!

..only problem is I don't know how to draw just cropping :(

Are saying's allowed to be submitted as long as they follow the 2000P and 200PI?

I.E Specifically for Text only T-Shirt Graphics? I am new to making stuff in photo shop so I am not sure about the details of the rules.
