We understand some players are currently experiencing connectivity issues. Our team of technicians investigated and confirmed that our FINAL FANTASY XI servers are working properly, and our service is not experiencing any technical difficulties at this time.
If you are having connectivity issue at this time, try connecting to FINAL FANTASY XI again at a later time

So let me get this straight. . . a signifigant number of their customers cannot access their product all at the exact same time just after a major version update and suddenly. . . it's not their problem?
They can't possibly just wait and hope this problem goes away, can they?
I am in health care and we are often told to treat the patient, not the numbers and monitors and such. . . that means, if someone is saying they are having problems breathing, it doesn't matter if their oxygen saturation on the pulse oximitry monitor is 100% or not. . . you give them oxygen becasue they are having difficulty breathing!
In other words, it doesn't matter if the techs say the service is working fine. . . IT ISN'T. I mean, how more basic can you get? It just isn;t working! I don't know if it's their fault or not and quite frankely at this point, I don't care. The game is not working for me and I find it difficult to beleive that comcast and a bunch of other ISPs got together and said "hey, let's go ***** with FFXI players."
Perhaps this rant is overboard, but after 12+ hours on one of my very few days I am off from work where my real life friends are not, I am unable to spend my time playing a game I very truely do enjoy.
