I like many others have major R0 connections since March 9. These have been isolated to specific zones, for me Yhoat, Xarcabard, windy waters, N Gustaberg, metalworks, buburimu I can go on but I'll stop. I just played avoiding these areas. So after reading these boards for a while I found people fixing their problem with an IP change, not knowing how to do this, I learned, did it, and logged in. I tried a zone that wasnt working before, and it worked! I was happy and thought all was well, until I used my Tavnazian Ring....

Apparantly all I did was shift which zones are busted.. Now i cant do anything else cause Safehold and Sealions are busted, and the door to lufaise/misa is closed. There has to be something SE can do about this, it is not up to us to troubleshoot and fix stuff like this. I am posting to add to the other posts in hoping the problem and posts about the problem are seen and heard. If you would reply to this and tell me its been posted already, I do not wish to hear that. This is my part. When the SE team goes to work Monday, I want them to know of the problem and I hope they are prompt with recognizing it and giving us some feedback.

It will be fixed soon. A bunch of people have already filed complaints to GMs and whatnot. Just give SE some time.

No, you watch and see. They'll tell us that it's our fault and not theirs again.

This is ridiculous.

Try to change your IP address. Do it manually or call your ISP and have them release then renew it. I have a linksys router, changed my MAC address and that solved the problem.

Yes, if when monday rolls around and everyone gets back in their office, and they run tests and troubleshoot to find the problem, and discover that there is nothing wrong with there servers or connections...

It will be ******* ridiculous! Why can't SE fix everything that isn't their problem?

I thought as you until I fixed it myself. I doubt it's on SE's end, but it could be idk. Only suggestions I can offer are ones that have already been posted. GL.

your right about that..
I have new mac address now and i was able to zone into the areas that I had R0 before and now dont ..HOWEVER...

now the R0 zones just SWITCHED>.< windy waters now R0.. before changing mac address it was ok..

i basically have to run with R0 to zone (dcing couple of times).. then when switching zones.. dc again .. then relog back in and will be ok in new zone...

old mac address : R0 @ Xarcaband, Windy Walls *** R230 @ Windy waters, South Gustaberg...
new mac address : R0 @ Windy waters, South Gustaberg.*** R250 @ Xarcaband, Winday Walls >.<

hmm I'm on a ps2 with a linksys router and I've had no problems with any zones or R-0. Maybe if you haden't of been running all that 3rd party crap when SE scanned your computer, they wouldn't have screwed up your connection.

I'm just kidding, don't get bent outta shape, all the problems with this last update have definetly been FUBAR'd. I'd be pissed too.

I'm in the club with the shifted zones. Also, it happened to me in the middle of the desert, literally... I didn't have the heart move my character, again, so I shall wait until SE resolves this issue.

When i was getting new IP addresses, the zones that didn't work just... changed, they were never gone.

Knowing this, I don't see what I could possibly do now to fix my problem on my end.

On the day after the update, i had R0 in Konschtat {tab} {enter} Highlands. I was on my way to Gusgen {tab} {enter} Mines, so i just kept running till it kicked me. Then log back in, and repeat, until I reached Gusgen. (about seven times) Farmed in Gusgen for a couple of hours.

When i was done farming, I took a deep breath, and zoned back into Konschtat. And, no problems. So far, that is the only zone i have had R0 in.

I play on a PS2, DSL, and no router.

I know this doesn't help your problem, just thought I would share.

There are a few great posts on this subject already...true...but OP, i have the same problem as you. I went through the rigamarole of changing the IP address on my network, and it simply changed the zones where I was getting problems.

My hunch, as others have said, is that SE will take a closer look at the issue on Monday, and eventually own up to the problem once they identify it. I actually think everybody has this problem, it's just that some people's problems are probably isolated to zones that they don't frequent that often: it seems to me that the zones are pretty random...

Bonne chance.

Sounds like you have all the same zone problems as me, Lordo.

I changed my IP address 5 times and found that 2x I couldn't
log into PoL and the other 2 left me with other zones, like
Metalworks, giving me r0.

I dunno if it really has worked for some, but I'm tired of
calling my ISP and waiting on the phone for 10 minutes so that
my IP address can be changed so that I'm being screwed in a
different position and then trying for another 20 minutes to
reach zones so that I can get a connection.

Changing IP address seems just like being in jail and having
to choose between Bubba and Bigboy. Either way you're skirewed.

This is pretty RIDICULOUS, as stated.

I figured out you could avoid the R0's by swapping into another zone, although that before area will still be a hell hole. All when I found my first R0 zone, being Northern San'doria. (No OP'ing for me now, yay!)

So I went on the Airship, Bastok to Jeuno, after defeating the BCNM "Pulling The Strings" for SAM, again. I get on... Everything seems fine...

===Area: Bastok - Jeuno Airship===

*R0*

... Oh give me a f... *Disconnect*

Long story short, I'm stuck on the Airship untill this problem is fixed. And there's no way in hell I'm changing my IP, already tried that, no dice.

The question is, and it's been asked before -- Are they EVER going to fix this? Because I thought I heard them say it wasn't there problem... >_>

Can't we all just shut post in the same thread...seriously?

Let's make this the official 'My life sucks because I get R0' thread. And everyone with this problem can post to this thread so that the people that don't care that your life sucks can better ignore you.

If you haven't noticed, there are 3 pages of these threads all saying the exact same thing. Stop annoying everyone with your problems. Noone cares.

Thank you.
