Only certain people after update are having trouble right? It cannot be ISP because it would mean almost all of us would be gone, imagine all AOL users or MSN or Bellsouth users not able to play.

I attempted in three different occasions to download update and each time, the time and the number of files varied, very strange.

But most strangest of all (I am not lying, Im being honest here, no trolling either) is that I somehow logged into a Front Mission Online log in page (and I use a PS2) and then I timed out. It happened as I was clicking that little chocobo curser onto Games > Final Fantasy 11 in main POL page after you log in on PS2.

I also read somewhere in this forum that someone doesnt has this problem anymore by reinstalling FF11 on PC.

I am not assuming anything, but thinking about those 3 attempts to download, and seeing there were various different numbers of files and downloading time each attempt, maybe some download files were somehow corrupted during high network trafic time or lag?

And if anyone wanna do some detective work on this:

My download time took 7-8 hours, I am on dial up, and the file number downloaded was about 1300ish. And I havent experienced any problem or trouble in FF11.

theres certain steps the update takes when you download it.
1. prepare
2. Check files
3. Download files
4. Install files

when you "Time out" or disconnect during the download process, (which is where 90% of the time) you will have downloaded X number of files. Lets let X stand for 300 and Y stand for the total file count of 1300. now when you start the download you download that X number and have Z amount of files remaining to download.. but then you disconnect. it looks like this. Y-X=Z

so now when you try to restart the download your Z number becomes Y because Z will be the total amount of files REMAINING to download, hence you cannot download them again. But remember, step 1 and step 2 will check all files within the entire download, whether or not you have downloaded them or not.
