after spending the last few days in the temple after the update and witnessing a flurry of claiming/mpking/etc etc - i decided to get me another endgame ls.

well as luck would have it, an old friend of mine had an ls in need of blm's (a rare thing these days...)

last night, they are in sky, so i figured id go up and help out - make a good showing and all. turns out, once i hit ro'maeve - the dreaded R0 comes up.

i think to myself - np - ill get around this - just do the sky teleport quest

so i go change my title - get a few clear crystals and teleport-holla
guess what?
R0

so now i cant get to sky - bummer
(no really - for the blms out there thats a good laugh)

so i did a file check (actually found a corrupted file - gasp), did the fix - and after i reset ip etc etc etc

well today, theyre doing tenemos limbus
guess what?
R0 in holla

well, theres 2 end game activites ive been deprived of
(not to mention looking like a nooblet to the new ls..)

Now, as far as I know about a company, if something was working before and does not work now, something has changed.

Maybe the ISP's changed something - lord knows enough people are experiencing this problem (with no viable solutions in sight...)

I found out today my broadband company (Cox Communications) recently changed over to a new type of signal or something (I'm skipping the technical mumbo-jumbo, but it caused a complete internet failure of the computers at my office due to an old-fashioned amplifier)

For the record: I do not have this at my house.

Should it not be up to SE to try and make their system compatible with the new technology, or are they going to tell us to change ISP's to play the game because their hardware is not compatible?

If this continues and I am unable to play this game, I will suspend my account and find a new hobby for a while. Maybe SE will notice another $16.95 taken out of their pockets, maybe not.

cuz if i try to do a dynamis with these guys and i r0 upon entering - imma be really really pissed off.

No.

SE is under no obligation to make its game more compatible with the newer technologies. If you're willing to jump right into them (or sign up with a company who'll do so), then it's your loss.

Should you want to use the new technologies, some things you like will become unavailable (I rightly ******* when i got Windows ME, and could no longer play Command & Conquer due to the lack of DirectX 3.1, regardless of the fact that they were now at DirectX 7. But it was my fault for upgrading... Not to mention my inability to watch The Little Mermaid, due to the lack of a VCR now).

That said, i'm sorry that you can't get into Dynamis and Sky.

You don't pay 12.95 or more to play C&C or watch the Little Mermaid, so yes, it is SE's problem to fix.
