In-game things that just dont make any sense...Follow

#1 Jul 27 2008 at 4:17 PM Rating: Excellent
I don't know what made me think of this but we were doing Dynamis and I noticed the Hume RDM didn't have a hat on. Then I thought, "I wonder how the bald humes put on hairclips?"

Anyways, just seemed a little odd to me and was wondering if you guys had anything else that didn't make sense.

How is it that the adventurers of Vanadiel are such fumbling, myopic, morons that they need massive amounts of accuracy gear to hit a mob 2 inches in front of them, yet have survived as a population for so many centuries?

Glue? :/

Tarutaru fishing at Knightwell. They're short enough to be completely submerged.

Tarutaru weapons dealing as much as, say, Elvaan weapons. Real sized scythe compared to dinky toy scythe. (No way to fix this other than a whole set of race specific weapons, which we're all happy to do without.)

Tarutaru being able to wear the same armor equipment (as in, I trade it to them, not bought separately) that my Elvaan was just wearing. (Same as above.)

Tarutaru.

Edit: Note to self: Do not go to make delicious sammich mid-post. People will post before you. :<

There was a thread about this, but about missing Fortifications or something.

Thought up another one, too. Why does beastmen blood/bird blood/etc. already come in vials? Why are they carrying around vials of their own blood, or if we put it in there ourselves, why doesn't every kill yield blood and why doesn't the vial take up inventory space?

Same reason you can carry 70 beds. Also, if it doesn't drop blood, they've been exsanguinated. :eng101:

Why do throwing weapons return from personal experience of throwing things at people the object rarely returns and if it hits falls to the floor... or sticks in there head lol.

Why can you not trade an item with full inventory even though you may not be getting anything in return bar money which is not stored in inventory.

Why does eating food increase stats technically it would slow you down and reduce your performance if you ate a big meal rapidly then started fighting you'd feel sick.

How come you don't hit your allies when you create a large AOE explosion infront of them or fire arrows into there vicinity has SE never heard of friendly fire?

Why do Ninja's hold there katanas upside down it reduces there flexabilty range and potential force behind each blow they should hold them properly forget looking cool lol.

Why do Ranged weapons get pulled out your *** lol and why are they not shown/kept 3" beneath your character apparantly?

Why does Invincible not make you invincible?

Bit of a list sorry.........

But then how are they fighting back? If they were exsanguinated before you found them, how are they even alive? You'd think if their blood was so valuable, WE'D be the ones exsanguinating them and getting more than a stack per kill or taking just enough so that they live so they can produce more and put them in some camp thing. Then we can make them inbreed and expand our camp for mucho gil. While we're at it, we can capture some Yagudos and make them make their necklaces in another sick camp. Quadavs and Orcs can be the new Galkas. When we're done with that, we can tame them and pit them against their own to get the edge in Campaign. Soon BSTs will be able to summon beastmen pets.

...On another note, why are NPCs buying blood?

That's the idea. As they get chopped up the usable blood falls to the ground. Sometimes there's enough to fill up a vial, sometimes not.

Also, for bats and leeches, the blood is in their stomach, so you have to count on them having had a full meal recently.

If the ferry gets attacked by pirates it just keeps calmly moving along its path. If i was captaining a ship and it got attacked by pirates i would at the very least take evasive action.

Four years ago everyone in Vanadiel suddenly learned how to remove a single item from a stack of items.

"Bah, I only have 5 spider webs. I can't do anything with these."

"Why don't you take one and sell it at the AH?"

"Split up a half-stack? That's crazy talk!"

Dang, then we really do suck. Even though we're super-humanlywtfstrong enough to carry 70 beds and still fight off monsters, we can't even hit buildings and we're poor enough hunters that we don't know how to keep things in good selling shape. Take poachers for example: they want the fur, so they learn where to hit the animal without damaging the better parts of the fur while still killing it (or not killing it, if possible. Dunno, I'm not a hunter.)

How come when I decide to go from Warrior to Paladin, which are lvl74 and 2 respectively, I'm suddenly much weaker and get one shotted by an Orc in Ronfaure?

I'm still the same guy, just with different clothes on.

- How come I can change my hat, coat, gloves, boots, pants, rings, earrings, belt, mantle, collar, sword, shield and bow in one second? Mighty useful though.

- How can a mob NOT see the Galka Trick Attacking me (Taru)?

- Why are chocobos afraid of running around in town when they spend their whole days in the stables there?

- How come I can jump down a glacier of 150 metres high (yhelotharUleguarand) and not get hurt?

- Try stacking onions in RL as opposed to piling up hides, which is way easier. Then why can we stack onions but not hides in-game?

- Who the hell goes around placing coffers everywhere? And why fill them up with useless jewels?

- This has bothered me for a while. Take a look at Bugards. HOW DO THEY KEEP THEIR BALANCE? THEY SHOULD FALL. REALLY. How the fook lol?

How do tarutarus survive being stepped on all the time?

How do we walk through eachother?

How do dragoons jump and dissapear when indoors?

Why is there a title called "have wings will fly" if chocobos have wings, but will not fly?

How is it that when you 'change jobs' even if you have the same exact gear on, you could end up doing less damage? IE THF changing to COR with exact same gear.

Why is it that during quests that someone else has completed before you, you still 'save the day' even though it has been saved many times before, perhaps even on the same day?

-How its the same time in different parts of the world.
-How the crystal war took place like in 862 C.E. and its now 1052 C.E yet NPCs still refer to it as being '20 years ago'
-A DRG can still jump while bound
-Ninjas can wear heavy chainmail armor and maintain their high agility and speed stats but a dragon knight cant even wear chainmail.
-How come we can get hit by meteors and get back up, but in cutscenes any NPC hit once with a sword is dead forever.
-Shadowlord is only a level 50 demon NM, a level 70 bunny in Bibiki Bay could easily solo him, how did he cause so much trouble?
