In a stunning show of artistry and creativity, the Vana'diel community put forth a great effort in transforming ordinary pumpkins into Harvest Festival masterpieces! Now you have the chance to vote for your favorite.

Make no mistake, voting will not be easy. There are 104 entries in this poll! Each entry has its own wikibase page linked from this poll and from this page:

2008 Pumpkin Carving Contest Entries

Although you can click the links from this poll, the Contest page showcases the entries with thumbnails, making it easier for you to see parts of the entries.

You are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to view each entry's page so that you can view each pumpkin as a larger image and see any additional photographs. Contestants MUST REMEMBER that they will be disqualified if they reveal which is their entry.

Each entry has been given a unique name to distinguish it from the others. Please be VERY CAREFUL when voting. A poll of this size can mean that you'll easily select the wrong choice. You must be a registered user of Allakhazam and logged into your account in order to vote. If you do not have an account, signing up for one is easy!

The votes for this contest will be tallied at 6:00 PM EST on Sunday, November 9, 2008. Votes cast after the tally will not be counted. The contestant (US resident) whose entry receives the highest number of votes will be awarded the Grand Prize of a Wings of the Goddess gaming PC (picture). The entry with the second highest number of votes (First Place) will be awarded a Tidal Talisman and a premium membership at Allakhazam.com. Premium memberships will be granted to Second, Third, and Fourth Place entries.

The winner will be announced on Online Gaming Radio's Final Fantasy XI show The Mog House, broadcast live every Sunday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM PST. The winners will need to supply their full information within three days of notification or they risk forfeiting their prize.

Pumpkin Praise

Feel free to post comments about each entry. Your comments may be added to the entry's page! This way, even if you can't vote for one of your favorites, you can still let the carver know what you thought!

Due to me messing up the original poll, I had to start a new thread. Adding a choice in resulted in the votes getting knocked down.

That one just feels more in tune with Halloween. It has a sort of.. evilness to it. >:D
Great job on all the pumpkin carving entries!

There's so many options it's so hard to decide what to vote on! I loved Bomb King and Good vs. Evil, but I think I will go with Autumn Cait Sith.

I really like the whole pumpkin head Lycopumpkin and Bomb King. The level of detail in some of these is astonishing, like Good vs Evil and Mount Zhayolm -- it must have taken them days.

Good vs Evil is 2 pumpkins isn't it? Only one should be allowed as an entry.

Or is it 2 sides of the same pumpkin?

Except if it were baby photos, it would be like looking at before and afters of Michael Jackson. Only instead of turning into a white guy, he changes into a chick!

Finally voted, but wow that was difficult--there were so many good ones to choose from! Good job to everyone who entered :)

Some of them actually made me lol. I particularly found the bomb king, lycopumpkin, level down (clusters D:), and leech pumpkins amusing. Great stuff!!

Yes but I would assume they would be counted as two separate entries.

Holy poll batman!
They're all beautiful it was so hard to decide >.<

Voted for the Lycopumpkin tho. I just recently finished the Lycopodium quest in the past and I thought it was beautiful so that pumpkin stood above the others for me.
Still I really loved The Grim Tale, the Bomb King, the Tonberry ones and others I just can't remember lol They're so many!

Good job everyone!

Look at the bright side... If you are competing against an entry with two pumpkins in it, you are better off than if those pumpkins were separate entries, then you would be competing against 2 entries instead of one! Makes it less likely that the same person will take 2 of the finalist positions... giving other people the chance to win something.

I defiantly feel a little better because there are a couple of 2 or more pumpkin entries that each of those pumpkins individually could win!

Actually, if they were separated, they'd probably split the votes that (combined) they're getting now, thereby giving you a better chance of winning something if you're not one of the multiple-pumpkin entries.

Hmm, I voted for my own of course. But after seeing what some of the others look like, I've reevaluated my earlier claims of winning. Some of the people out there must have really wanted to win, a few those pumpkins had to have taken days to carve.
