Pretty good. Decent humor, flow of 'story', size of image (a few from a month or two ago forced you to lean close to the screen to read the fine print, even with glasses on). Only downside is it could have used some gray shading to differentiate parts of the DRG, Wyvern, and Mamool Ja.
I don't think color would have worked; it would have taken away from it (unless perhaps the colors were very pale or dim, subdued not loud colors). Some things just look good in B&W (/Munsters, Addams Family, Twilight Zone).
As for the other ending, both were funny. Either would have sufficed, though I think the going for tea would have had more of a punch to it.
It seems the Happy Friday comics have pulled out of their doldrums with the last few strips. I moved to rate you up only to find the upper right corner blank. Probably the one downside to being karma-immune.

How about a separate thread from the Happy Friday comics- MS Paint Masterpieces, attempts to paint portraits like in the classic painterly manner using MS Paint. Could be figures like Cid or famous monsters like Bubbly Bernie (I'd actually like to see a real portrait of Bubbly Bernie by the lighthouse using the impressionistic style, though a Munch Scream interpretation of LFG in Jeuno might be interesting or someone photoshopping a Cavernous Maw into an 1800s landscape painting). Or maybe 8-bit renderings of Prishe, Lilisette, Promathia, Atomos and the like. Pics of the NES's 54 or 55 color palette are out there (don't forget Prussian Blue and lots of happy little trees).
