What? No meteor? hmmmm >.>

(Now they've got me wondering when and how they plan to implement it. Something tells me I really don't want to know)

Doesn't Carbuncle already get Meteor (if only Trial-sized)? Or was it Comet?

Carby gets Meteorite.

Meteor could always be added later in another update, or could be planned for their T3 Merit Point categories they mention from time to time.

It's safe to asume most of these are subject to change or scrapping. Not to mention additions.

It's nice to see they're working on thing, but at this point it's nothing but a teaser. A very lackluster one in my eyes, though i fully welcome Holy II on PLD. Just wondering why we dont get Banish III...

Tell me why white mage doesn't get Banish IV and V and I'll get back to you on why pld doesn't get III.

Edit: Some of the more epic spells promised haven't been listed(Meteor for blm, arise for whm. Arise was added to the dats on the test server btw.) Possibly down the road spells.

Edit2: Oh look blue mages finally get to know what they are getting ahead of time! It's only took till the last job increase to get it right!

Meteor is obviously coming from Tier 3 merits.

Thunder III for DRK... (joy)

I almost had a heart attack from them actually telling us what Blue Magic spells we're getting this update.

As for Meteor, gonna assume it will be saved for BLM T3 merits.

I wouldn't worry too much about what isn't there. Just because it isn't on this list that doesn't mean it will never be released. It just won't be released now or in the next few updates.

Since we'll soon be reaching the "final" level cap they're probably going to be holding on to a lot of cards and dragging every little thing out as long as possible even more than they did in the past. And considering their past, that's really saying something.

Ha, quite the list of spells. Some of those on there are ones I've wanted for so long. Almost tempting to come back to the game just to try them out. Pyric Bulwark? Absolute Terror? Gates of Hades? Bloodrake? Amorphic Spikes.... yow.
But then I remember why I left in the first place... :(
Still, will be interesting to read about.

Love the pets. Would be so great to see a little adamantoise jug stomping around after a bst. Or the little toad hopping... though I can't imagine that toad being tremendously useful as a pet itself. Kinda curious there.

I think SE said on their forums that the BST turtle pet wouldn't get the screen shake effect. Smiley: disappointed

I too wonder about the frog. Will it even have any Ready moves? Not that most pets get very useful ones, but still it'd be kind of boring if it only auto-attacks.

I was figuring we'd actually get Shell V, seeing as how we get a new Shell spell every 20 levels.

On the official forums they had a vote for 3 new jug pets, and after it was over (Akpallu won) they also mentioned they're adding a useless frog pet as a "mascot". So no, no TP moves, weak as hell, just there for "cute".

So basically instead of the scorpion people actually wanted (Yes I went there!) they give us a purposefully worthless pet? What was it we did to make them hate us so much?

I fell like this thread has been open far too long without the obligatory Cure V discussion/rant.

The frog is just a "fun" pet it has no skills
They announced turtle and apkullu a long time ago
and we voted to get the last one... except that there was like twice as many votes for scorpion than the griff - but the JP voted for griff and NA for scorpion so we got griff.

At the start, it was a close battle between Ruszor and Scorpion, but...

Scorpion had the most votes! I will let the development team know that the victor was Scorpion

If it's one of the caster toads and not a Squib (best joke in the game), then those things are nightmarish little monsters, especially if they get the full sleepga abilities.... Charmga might be asking for too much, though.

That's because SE basically said we want whm to be the only healer.

…with that said, we have been working towards adding another pet that can be used as a fun mascot-type of pet.

How to obtain: Purchased from NPC (planned to be inexpensive)
Attacks: Normal attacks only (No special abilities)
Levels: 23-29
