Bwahahaha! Slackers! I'm grabbing this one early. Drop in and let me know how you're doing on goals as we start to get closer to WoD.

WoW: I'm trying to get those last few alts ready. The summer passed all to quickly, but I'm making progress.

RL: Tyger and I had to put the wedding off due to traditions about death in the immediate family, but I'm trying to get the hang of being dad for a five year old. A slow lead in for that may not be altogether bad. The first half dozen books are finally in print, and I've got a set put aside for her.

Let's get this rolling! Smiley: nod

WoW: not logged in. Playing Wildstar :p Been PvPing and farming. Not much to really do at cap. To raid in Wildstar you have to do this long 12 step quest. It is suppose to be there to filter out "bad" players, instead it filters out casual players. The population is taking a nose dive so fast (because people get to cap, find this quest line to be stupid and boring) that their grand idea to bring back 40-man raids won't ever been done on most of the realms. It is sad. The game is killing itself via it's end game Smiley: lol

RL: Sept 11 is when the doc said I start therapy for the broken ankle. I get to return to work, and hopefully I get to start walking. These last 2 months have been so flip'en boring. I've never broke a bone before, so missing out on so much sucks :p

40 mans... in Wildstar?

That sounds like HELL. WAY too many reticles. How the hell would anyone avoid anything ever?

Well Wildstar uses an action action bar. So you do not have to target, the target, just aim abilities. Mobs do the same, so you can step out and dodge the big instant-death moves. Also each class gets 1+ "stun" abilities. The key is to learn what boss moves can be "stopped" and cause the boss to be stunned for a bit (during this time, there is an increase to damage it takes).

I've done 0 raiding, as I find the attunement quest to be pointless in teaching me how to "raid".

I would assume the Tank tries to keep the boss pointed in on large fan area, that way s/he can dodge. The rest attack from the sides/back. Healers have to run around.

It sounds like a cluster ****. They also have a big 40man PvP thing called Warplots. Not even sure if people are doing them.

I know, I'm just thinking how awful an environment where 41+ ability reticles (or fields or whatever they call them) are on the ground at once, in a small space.

oh. you can change the display of that. I only see mine, mobs, and healer marks (green).
Only time my ground is red all over is during PvP.

I just don't remember what menu it is in. There is also an addon called frienemy that blocks Exile/Dominion marks while in PvE.

The next weekend is a bit away but oh well.

As I wrote in another thread, I don't play WoW at this moment. Also a bit burned out on Hearthstone thanks to getting my *** handed to me so many times by the heroic bosses. Maybe in a few weeks I will try to get KT heroic to complete the singleplayer content. But need a break first.

Gamewise I mostly play D3 now. The new patch added some very nice content along with some much needed buffs to my main (=Monk). I want to up my Paragonlevel a bit more (138 now) and also get more characters at 70/equiped well enough to actually do some endgame with them. Since I only play Hardcore mode, more geared up level 70s are rather important in case some get killed off.

In real life I just started applying for jobs. As in fulltime jobs. My studies are finished (successfully, yay) so it's time to man up and become a contributing member of the society. Can't wait. Smiley: frown

This new language filter is incredibly annoying. I read the reasoning for it and I realize ZAM can't do much about it but seriously! It filters a lot of unnecessary words, too.

Have been in a blah mood game wise and RL wise lately.

Gaming - eyeballing D3 after 2.1 dropped but have not logged in. Friend got me to playing Hearthstone some, its fun but i'm not a huge card game player. Been playing a cheesy flash game but it has about wore out its welcome.

RL - watching anime and doing projects around the house. Hung out with family and watched the grandkid this past weekend, installed pantry shelves and cleaned house. Tonight I have to mow the yard and start installing shelves in another closet. Home projects and preparing for Halloween are where my time will lie for now on.

Hey all!!

Gaming: Been playing wow again. Broke down and bought the Xpac. Used my boost to 90 on Ravencrest, where a lot of my friends play now. I was wondering why Dalaran has been dead for a while. So getting caught up with some old friends again is nice. Made a 90 NE druid which is fun so far. Ran a few LFRs and what not got some decent upgrades from the boost gear. I plan on playing this guy till WoD release along with my main horde hunter on dalaran.

RL: nothing really going on this month, just had vacation down the shore(jersey) which was nice with the wife.

Saturday has rolled around and it is the weekend for Mid Autumn Festival here. I'm hoping to get in a couple of evenings of good gaming, but I'm not sure how much RL is going to claim my time since it is also the start of the school year.

Get out there and kill a boar!

Still trying to decide if I'm going to come back for WoD or not. I found some RL friends that I play Pathfinder with who still play WoW, and they're casual questers like me, so I might jump in with them. I will also probably just reactivate my old account rather than starting completely over.

I picked up Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition for PS4 this weekend. The game is a lot of fun so far (playing a demon hunter). If anybody is playing DIII, or plans to play Destiny, on PS4, feel free to send me a friend request. PSN ID is the same as my username here.

I resubbed Labor Day weekend... and haven't played since. I keep thinking WoW could still hold my interest, but it just can't.

Tried out D3 again yesterday, got a few goblin rifts which was fun and full of cash. Spent 3-4 hours farming for a hellfire necklace and it was junk, so time to start over on it.

Was a quiet weekend with a birthday party (cleaning before and after) and then D3.

It was a hectic weekend.

WoW: I managed to get little more than maintenance and book keeping tasks done.

RL: I spent much of the weekend with Tyger. We may have had to put off the wedding for a year because of traditions about death in the family, but it was still Mid Autumn Festival.

Let's try to keep this one rolling guys. The pre expansion patch and WoD are sliding up on us! For anyone on the fence, consider leveling an alt on a different server and faction just to get back into things.

Ironically, I just got a WoD beta invite. Might as well see what that's like.

Go pre-made capped! I copied my DK, did the 1st 10 quests, and realized I didn't want to spoil any more.

The one WoW beta I got to be a part of (think it was LK), I realized I was just going to have to do all of those quests over again when the expac launched, so I stopped playing after about an hour.

yup lol

I treat all betas the same, I normally just create characters and try not to do any quests, because come live..you have to do them all again.

Just got my beta invite to WoD myself. Was playing a bit of GW2 the last couple of days then figured I'd log into WoW and checked the drop down and low and behold.. Beta: Warlords was an option.. checked my email and yep they sent me an invite. (they must have noticed I had started to play another game for a few days and went "oh, snap, we better send him a beta invite. took us a year to get him back last time..." LoL

I never care about doing quests, because I don't mind redoing them.

...but I haven't mustered the energy to actually play the beta yet. I have literally 0% interest in WoD. This could change that... if I ever feel like playing it.

I have to say, I'm disappointed in the new models. Very disappointed, actually.

[EDIT]

Honestly, though, I wouldn't be nearly as disappointed if they didn't make horrible design choices with the hair. I'm guessing they decided to make a sort of homage to the old models, by making the same awkward gaps and edges in the hair styles as before... But the thing is, those gaps and edges were 100% the problem with the old hair styles. They did NOT age well. They were acceptable 8 years ago, when technology was the limit, but the low texture res of the hair was never the problem.

Now we have a higher texture res, and a better polygon count... but they kept all the same weird affects of the style. And it just looks terrible to me. I mean, I actually think it looks worse, because now it's weird and anachronistic in the worst ways. And they desired to do that thing with a bunch of separate polygons working together, which I just always thinks looks awful if you're not running a system with physics.

I'm sure I'd adjust to ignoring the hair, as always. But we waited so long for the revamp, and it's one thing I was actually excited for... and it just looks terrible to me.

Orc hair isn't so bad, but you can definitely tell they actually bothered to branch out artistically there, probably because of all the new Orc NPCs.

[EDIT2]

That said, the Dwarf beards are glorious.

OK, another weekend down, another weekend closer to WoD!

WoW: I'm leveling a couple of Horde toons on my main server in hopes that some of the changes like combined AH go through and offset the problems with balance on that server. I finally got my old Horde Druid to 90 and I'm doing the gearing up bit.

RL: I stayed home and stayed quiet, Tyger has a cold. Colds and CPAP are not a wonderful mix.

Hope you all had a good weekend!

Got back to D3, trying out seasonal HC (harcore = 1 life only) mode is not fun, kind of stressful actually.

Did some cleaning and rearranging of the game room, cooking, relaxing. Wasn't a bad weekend.

I went to work yesterday, the 1st time in like 2 and half months. I was only there for like 30min. VP who is also my boss decided it was not safe for me to return yet. I do agree, but didn't want to push the subject. Not that I don't want to work, but I really don't want to re-injure my ankle or anything else due to the ankle.
We will see where I am at in a week (will have 2 more therapy visits under my belt).

So Netflix and WS again this week :3

Been doing pretty much nothing buy BGs in WildStar. Been dipping my toes in to rated, but going PuG is turning out to be a very bad idea. I'm back to base rating lol -.-
