I recall we discussed the original American McGee's Alice and several folks here enjoyed that game.

You will then be pleased to know that he's back and working on The Return of Alice

I have not played the original, although I admit it intrigued me.

Never played it myself, but saw a little of it. Looked creepy, icky and Goth as hell, and thus very interesting for a teen/adult audience with that kind of taste. It's nice when games go that extra length to make their graphics unique.

I need to play that still. I remember when the original came out and I kind of just scoffed. Would I miss a lot of the game if I played on my PSP, or is it a game that should be played on a larger screen (epsxe on my PC)?

o.O

I've never played the 1st, but wanted to. Just never seemed to have the cash when I was a kid to get it.
I see it in stores here and there still for well under $40.

I may have to troll the interwebs and find a copy of this game and give it a go. It did, and does look neat.

It was a really awesome game. The set pieces were awesome, the control was a bit chunky if I remember right, but the story, and the level progression were stellar. I tried to replay it a few years ago, but had problems getting it to run so my attention waned, I should try that again, to see how the game stands against the test of time.

If only there were a way to download it without paying for it...

OK, normally I wouldn't condone that sort of thing, but for a game this old, that's going to be very difficult to locate a copy of, I have no problem with it.

I laughed at the comments in the linked video's page; more than half of them were blasting American McGee for all his other games, and most of the rest were thinking Tim Burton made the game.

I never played the original game, but it looked awesome. Hopefully I'll find a copy sometime; if not I'll probably just pick up this new one.

I hope more Carroll gets put in; the last game had the Jabberwock, but I would love to fight a Frumious Bandersnatch.
