Darkness II & SpecOps: The Line bundled together for only $4.99 from Gamefly. $4 with coupon code GFDAPR20

They also have a bundle that's Bioshock 1, Bioshock 2, and Spec Ops: The Line for $10. Which you'd be stupid to buy, because you can get a Bioshock 1 and 2 bundle for $5, so buying it with the Spec Ops/Darkness bundle gets you an extra game for 1 dollar less...

A dollar? A penny or two. 5(4.99?) and 4.99, compared to 10(9.99?)
I mean, still a better deal since you get another game, if you are after the games. But not a dollar less, pretty much the same price.

Edit:
I see, the coupon. Missed that. I assume it applies to other purchases too though? Or is it a coupon only for that single game bundle?

Stop it! You are forcing me to purchase games that I never had any interest in purchasing and that I may never play. You've neutered my ability to choose. I must buy them, simply because they are only $2.00 each!

Both are solid games. Darkness II has some nice art direction and some great voice acting and characters. Fun game play as well if you make a point of mixing it up: Don't just shoot people, whip some car doors at them or tear them in two.

SpecOps has pretty standard game play but the story is worth it. I don't know if it's as AMAZING as some make it out to be but it's definitely worth the experience.

Both are pretty short games. About 8-10 hours each, I believe. But for two bucks a pop, it's hard to complain.

Spec Ops is cool if you don't mind being viciously beaten over the head with "the point". But seriously, it's cool. It probably has a greater effect on certain demographic.

Well, PS3 Diablo III sure looks to be shaping up to be much better than PC D3. Smiley: lol

Yeah, I was reading about that. Seen some Console vs. PC warriors crowing about it but I don't know what it proves beyond "With a year's worth of feedback, you can make a better game next time around".

I thought all the cool kids played Torchlight anyway.

I might grab it for PS3, because I do have some friends who don't play PC games that I'd like to play some co-op with. I'd buy TL2 before buying D3, but TL2 doesn't seem to be coming out on PS3 at all.

It looks good, but I can't justify paying full price for an unfinished game.

I got my monies worth on diablo 3. I don't buy any game to play it for life anymore anyway. Although I might fire it up now and again like I do TL2.

Ah. I recently booted it up again for a bit. The only things they're really missing is structured PvP (if you're into that kind of thing), and an endless dungeon type of mode (which was never promised, but would greatly improve the game IMO). Anyway, if you were ever interested in it, I'd suggest holding out for the PS3 release. Many of the improvements they're making in it are not coming to the PC version. It might have been rather incomplete at launch, but in its current state I would consider it to be pretty complete (again, aside from the lack of PvP).

Oh, also, the PS3 version won't require you to always be online, and won't have an AH (though it will support a menu-driven trading system so you can trade with other players in your game, etc.). This also allows them to boost the item generation so you'll find more items that will be useful. Which is cool, because basically the biggest problem I ran into with D3 was that you weren't grinding in the hopes of finding an upgrade for yourself, you were grinding to find things to generate money so you could buy better gear on the AH. And item generation was obviously heavily influenced by the presence of an AH.

It's sad. I think I completely overhauled my level 60 characters' gearsets, replacing every piece. I was getting significant upgrades, mostly in the form of Legendaries, for 30-50k gold an item. When I checked out the RMAH, 1M gold was selling for $0.26. I guess I can still find some enjoyment on my HC characters, since there was no RMAH for HC, but the AH there is pretty well flooded at this stage, too. I would still like to clear Inferno on a HC character, though I don't think I'll try to get gear to clear MP10 Inferno, or grind to Paragon level 100.

Funny enough I was going to grab that deal, but I completely forgot about it due to the bank killing bill I had to pay.

Someone magically make Tomb Raider go on Sale this weekend. I need a new game, also it can't be from BackwaterGames.ru or something. Steam or Amazon.

Go!

Best deal out there right now is the 20% GMG voucher which only brings it down to $40. Looks like you're going to have to mine the backlog for things to play.
