Awesome. I have to say the idea of a geth infiltrator with a GPS sounds like "turn about" in a good way. Batarian faces remind me of poo. But I will still play one if I unlock it to check out blade armor. At least you look at the back of their head.
Asari Justicar looks fun with the dome but she has reave, and unless they fixed it that means sufferring with wrum wrum wrum wrum wrum non stop for 20 minutes ever match. I tried to do it with my Drell, but in the end I just felt to bad torturing the entire squad with the sound bug.

Welp pretty lucky so far tonight. Got me a Batarian soldier, a Paladin pistol, and a Stryker(new) assult rifle/grenade launcher. Apparently its supposed to be pretty rocking like Falcon pre nerf.
The Batarian took me a bit to get the swing of, his knife rocket hand attack has very little range but up close it's brutal. Also he does a super man power punch that goes threw anything. Barriers, armor, walls, trucks, rhino's he will punch that crap in the face. Hard. And the blade armor makes you strong like Krogan but when stuff tries to melee you it gets hurt and stunned.
At one point I ran up and punched a full Geth Hunter to death then punched his two trooper buddies so I could get a Rez off on a teamate and only came out with no armor but full health.
Dude can punch. 20 melee kills on silver lawlz.

Oh I was wondering what that did. Still have not unlocked a Geth. Though I was in a match with 3 Geth... against Geth last night. Friendly fire drill!
So far the new maps are ok, take a bit of getting used to. At first I was like crap where the hell is the ammo. Where do the mobs spawn? Why am I being shot at in cover?!? But once you get the hang of the good spots to set up or move from point to point on they are pretty cool.
I think my least favorite map is still Firebase Giant. Not because it's a bad map. If people play it right it's a great map. But 9 times out of ten they hang out right in the middle and let mobs spawn from the bottom and the room up top. So what happens is you end up in a meat grinder, cross fire kill zone getting pegged from both sides with no good cover.
When I play it with my Krogan I bodyguard the Infiltrator on the stairs and keep the room to his right clean so he can set up the same cross fire below that the mobs want to do to us. Then the other two people work the bottom across the map. Done like that the map becomes gravy.
Kinda neat how each map has sweet spots for teamwork like that and always a pleasure when you end up on a team with people who get it. Same thing goes for Firebase Dagger. I like to bodyguard the hallways that come into the sniper circle room so the long range guys and do their work without a Geth Hunter giving them a surprise reach around.
But it seems like when I am on my sniper the short range guys never bodygaurd, instead they are below in the courtyard dying on their own, getting mad for no rez and leaving us shorthanded the rest of the match after round 5.
This is all on Silver and above btw. On bronze it does not really matter. I soloed bronze to wave 7 on a level 4 Salarian Engineer just to get him some levels and for kicks.
Ok that's enough rambling for now.

Got Asari Justicar. You can turn her bubble into a bubble that does warp damage to everything in it. Setting it up is tricky, but once you do you can area reave fot lots of combo damage.
Other than that, its a drell Adept with bubbles instead of grenades.
Also beat my marathon ME1-3 on Renegade and the differences were neat. Most notably, Tuchanka, as I killed Wrex in ME1. His alternative is kind of a douche, and Eve died as I had destroyed Malons data, but I was able to trick the Krogan into thinking I cured the genophage while keeping Mordin alive to work on the Crucible, keeping Krogan support, & getting Salarian support too.
I killed the Geth too. You lose rediness, of course, and I felt REALLY bad that Legion died. I also recommend if you go that route in another playthrough, after Tali stops Legion & it gives you the renegade option- use it. His last words still haunt me, but it felt disingenuous using him to kill the Reapers knowing I was going to kill him by destroying them anyway.
I killed Kaiden on the CItidel cause he's annoying. It did not effect me, but I can see how romancing Kaiden/Ashley (which I've never done) would make your dealings with them more interesting.
No real difference (besides a couple hundred points of rediness) for saving the Colelctor base in ME2.
Keeping the Rachni queen alive helps your rediness a bit. They don't betray you, unlike her synthetic counterpart.
Aside from that, I was able to keep Miranda & Zaeed alive unlike my previous playthough & I did Kasumi's mission. My renegade Shep was also a bit of a whore romancing Liara in ME1, resuming the relationship in ME2, then got busy with Thane in ME2, resumed Liara's relationship in 3, then resumed Thane's via makeout session on the Citidel (losing Liara's), making out with the reporter after Thane's death, then resuming Liara's relationship AGAIN and continueing it to the end. No special dialog during Thane's death for the relationship, though.
I also spent way more time scanning planets, but didn't get any extra CS with alien races near the end. I really wanted to see Elcor troops >.<
With a 98% rediness, my Renegade Shepard survived destroying the Reapers.

Should be fun times. TOR was up freakishly early (considering it was patch day) so I played that instead, because I need to finish the first Chapter on my new server to unlock all the goodies this patch brought. Most of my weekend gaming will probably be dedicated to that, but I do want to try out the new maps.
Oh & for those who care, if you choose Morinth in ME2 you get: a couple of e-mails from her & get to kill her as a Banshee on Earth. She does not take Samara's place in the Banshee mission or appear at all. Poo.

Ahh that's actually quite interesting. I wondered about that. How did you know the Banshee on Earth was her? Does she transform or talk to you or something?

If, as James claims, krogans and batarians are the "Meat" of the battlefield, would that make turians and humans(perhaps Geth too) the "starch"? And by extension, are asari, drell and quarians the "vegetables"? And the Volus, Hanar, etc. the "garnish".

I got the N7 Shotgun. It's ok but it's no Claymore or GPS.
In other news I pretty much unlocked all the new classes over the weekend. Highlights:
OMFG Ginfiltrator with a GPS in hunter mode cloaked and charged one shots most mobs through shields. It can seriously take off half a brutes life in one shot with my GPS IV. Everything else I just walk up and one shot it on silver. But the hunter mode visual effect... my eyes they bleed. So I can only take it for short periods of time.
On the Gingineer if you spec your turret for DPS/Flamethrower it's pretty amazing. Works a bit like a Salarian Engineer decoy in that it pisses off everything. But the damage is very respectable. I skipped eye bleed mode on him for full DPS everything else.
Krogan BMaster is fun but feels a bit kumbersome. I prefer my Krogan Soldier with Karnage and Claymore VI. Also Claymore is sick, sick, sick. It was pretty much my discovery of awesomeness for the weekend. I had been a big advocate of the GPS but it gets boring and having to hold the charge non stop gets old. Claymore on a Krogan Soldier is a site to behold. Put the choke and the barrel on it and you can head shot from surprising range. Combine it with a low cooldown karnage and it good good times.
Batarians are fun. I decided that the blade attack on the soldier was not worth worrying about weight though and just speced him full defense and +200% cooldown with a Widow VII and a Claymore VI. He is deadly at any range and tough as nails I like him too. Powers? Who needs um when you are packing heat like that?
The Batarian Sentinal I still have not gelled with. The net is kind a fun but the soldier seems more solid.

Got the Asari Justicar, which I already had. Then did 4 more silvers to get the coin for another pack &....Asari Adept: which I also already had.
Got the Black Widow II, a new shotgun (Wraith?) thats not as good as the Geth one, the Harpoon Sniper Rifle, & the Geth SMG as well... but I don't need them.
>.<

Nope, starting this week they are moving to an every-other model.

Woah, that Alenware Rifle has the same model as the Valiant. Which is the N7 weapon I actually want, but never get. Will have to check it out for sure after work today.
Also Falcon punching a phantom ftw.

I just got the retrieve artifact mission. Not sure if it's new or some bug but it's the first time it happens to me. We started a game and we spawned in a middle of a bunch of reaper with a banshee and a brute. We had to retrieve 3 artifacts and bring them to a drop point and that was it. Took 5 minutes and the game was over.
Operation Exorcist this weekend! Time to get stabbed by some phantoms and get over your fear of Gold.
I mostly farm silver because it's mellow to me now. But I have been meaning to play more Gold on the weekends when I am not to tired from work. And yes for some reason I am still loving ME3 multiplayer. Even though I took a break from it this weekend for Tera beta.
Also Tera head start will probably cut in this weekend but I'ma still try and complete at least one gold. I want still want an N-7 Valiant to play with.

I like Hackett's explanation for the whole situation regarding the exclusion of PS3 players:
Quote:
Soldiers of the Milky Way –
By now it is no secret that the Reaper War has had its share of logistical SNAFUs. It is to the galaxy’s credit that, when we put out the call for volunteers, we were answered by individuals of every species from Citadel, Traverse, and even Terminus space. Unfortunately, the diversity of equipment sources meant our allies ran into hardware and software incompatibilities.
These brave men and women have been fighting beside you and, in doing so, have gone above and beyond normal duty. Because their units were not properly tracked, they fought without pay and sometimes without proper training, equipment, even rations. It is a mark of their character that these warriors took the grave task set before us and stuck it out through sheer determination.
It is time to honor their service. A volunteer task force has fabricated the necessary hardware and is rolling out compatibility software. When these installations are complete, these soldiers will benefit from being properly equipped and combat-ineffective troops will get off the bench. We’ll all have more comrades watching our backs, and we’re now watching theirs.

First decent looking gold team I joined turned out epic. 4 games 4 full gold extractions. I even got top score on my Gengineer on Firebase Giant gold with a GPR IX. Geth Plasma Rifle + Disrupter Ammo 3 plus 200% cooldown overload = tech burst non stop ZZZzzziZZap. Came in second on my SI with Widow VII and Human Inf with Claymore VIII.
I think I am done with silver now. Oo Gold is just so much credits. Of course I am saying that after getting a really mellow really competent group that stayed together through 4 games. Usually it's not like that lol.

I only had time for one game this morning, so I searched for & joined a Gold Cerberus game. I was an Asari Justicar (Bubble, Pull, & Reave Adept) w/the new Striker Assault Rifle. Team was a me, the other Asari Adept with a scoped Carnifax (I want one!), a Geth Infiltrator, & a Human Vanguard & we randomly got Firebase White.
The other Adept & I set up behind the cover down the ladder & across the main "open" area while the other two setup ehind cover in the room just off the open area on the opposite wall from where the stairs descend in that room. We stayed put throughout, with the Infiltrator tagging the 4 points when they popped during waves, & we simply waited on any high profile targets to come to us. No Data downloads popped at all! Me & the asari pretty much biotic combo'd everything, while I occasionally pulled any shields of cerberus guys, pulled any Phantoms that no longer had barriers up, & kept the bubble up. I didn't use my gun really except against Atlas'. No waves ever popped behind us, either, so everything came from the landing pad/upper area down to us or down the staircase at the Infiltrator & Geth.
Full extraction & I even took 3rd place (Over the Infiltrator). First Gold win ever!

Grats! That's awesome. Tera head start has cut into my ME3 multiplayer time hard the rest of this weekend but I did manage to play a few games yesterday and got my Claymore to X now. Man I love that gun.

This weekend: Everyone: Kill 3 Million Banshees. Squad: Full Extraction with any map on Gold.
Can't say I'm thrilled about having two gold challenges in a row, since I'm not to that point yet. Particularly with full extraction as a requirement. But I can have fun killing banshees.
I'm tempted to take some of you guys to FBW:G and train you how to farm some easy gold. Firebase White + Geth = Easier than Silver in some ways. You just camp down in your little room and let the bad guys funnel into the death trap. You can grab Pyros non stop as they come next to the counter. It's what most people farm.
I like the real challenge maps though too. Although I will be rusty if I play this weekend because I've been playing Tera nonstop. I have not even tried out my Valiant and I wanted that gun forever. I will this weekend though.

FBW/G/G is boring as hell. I love playing proper gold matches, especially with unloved classes like the BatSol, I'm just not looking forward to everyone flooding the place unprepared.

Yeah I'm not saying I want to farm it all day. I'm just saying for the people uncomfortable with Gold they might try looking for some of FBW:G G lobbies and they are plentiful. Then just do what the rest of the team does and you should get a full extraction no problem as long as you do it early in the event. Sometimes farmers suicide after wave 10 to save a few minutes since all they want is the credits anyway.
But during the last Operation Carry I saw many nice people who helped get extractions well into the weekend on gold just to be sure everyone had it.

It most likely because victory packs are just supply packs. Everyone wants the com pack not the victory. Also the game has been out so long I wonder how long they can sustain interest in MP. I played 1 game this weekend just to get the com pack then back to Tera. It still seems fun though I can see my self playing a bit more but nothing lie I was when I was hooked early on.

That's what happens when the two goals aren't somewhat intertwined. I have a feeling the "Full Extraction" goal next time will be against the forces for the big farm.

Squad Goal--Promote 3 characters. Allied Goal--Promote 50,000 characters. Special Circumstance: Due to the failure of Operation SILENCER, more banshees will spawn with Reaper enemies and might also spawn with other enemies.
Squad Goal Success: Squad members awarded a Commendation Pack. Allied Goal Success: All players awarded a Victory Pack (high chance of containing a Rare weapon).
An effect from a failed event does actually make these more interesting...
