Elemental Ore spread sheetFollow

I have compiled a spreadsheet of about 25 successful elemental ore recipes that came from the Tree Saplings thread. There were a lot of recipes that were missing information but i included them anyway. If you have a recipe that worked you can add it to the thread and i will update the spread sheet, if you already included your recipe on the the Tree Saplings Sticky then I have probably already included it. I will be updating it soon.
Spread Sheet Here Now with color coded goodness ^^ for all you non excel ppl. The last 4 recipes had the best results.

your F column is the wrong name i believe. your says crystal 1 fed on, i think you mean crystal 2 fed on.

It will be nice to see where these ratios settle as the sample size increases.

This is a great idea. Are you currently growing ores on the 3 mules you have listed in brass pots?

I would be interested to see your results if that is the case.

Thanks for sharing! Rate up ^^

The ones at the bottom are the ideas I have based on the 25 or so other recipes that I've found from the rest of the fourm. I think there may be a connection between what the pots element is, planting day, and harvesting day. The other connection theroy i'm trying to test is different feeding days, based on pot or the ore i'm trying to grow.

/em smacks herself in the face, I was just looking over the data again and noticed something about the recipes that grew more than 25%.
1.Harvest day was oppsite the day of the ore
2.Feed same crystal and day as ore.

Based on the HQ Solved? post, I decided to modify my experiment as well to include lightday as a harvest day to see if it has any effect.

Just a bit more info, from my own run:

Brass pot
Planted Tree Saplings on Firesday
Fed Fire on Firesday
Fed Fire on Firesday
Harvested on Watersday
1/10 Fire Ore (10%)

Rest of the gathered harvest was: 265 cinnamon sticks (o.O) and 4 ice clusters.

I'm thinking the reason you only got 1 ore is becaue brass pot is supposed to be fire element. Dunno thats the last mule i'm going to test so we shall see.

If, like me, the reason you can't view this spreadsheet in Excel is that, well, you don't use Windows (no joke, I'm currently using Linux at work and I use it on every computer at home except for the one that runs FFXI)... then you should really check out the free OpenOffice suite available at OpenOffice.org... It can create and view most types of MS Office documents - I haven't used the "real" Office in years.

Oh, and to the OP - thanks for the data!

Your last column says stuff like 3/5 and 1/10, is that 3 ores for 5 pots, or 3 ores for 5 mules, I'm a little confused.

I think I understand the basics and might try an experiment or two. My question is when and/or if you check your plants.
AND do you check them only on the day of the element you are growing??

And that is why I vow never to try gardening ores again, BTW, if I do give in, what pot should I use? That doesn't seem to give any conclusive evidence that porcelain pots are better.

Alright, I see that dark ores (Although arn't the most expencive) were giveing you the best results. I understand the feeding and the harvesting, that all makes sence. But the real B!tch about Tree Sapplings is how oftine you Check them. What day, what moon face, how many times, that's the most valuable information I think anybody could read. It's one thing to feed them on the right day, but if you don't check them on the right day it's bassicly the same as not feeding them at all

when go to the gardening menu with plants in the pot and select that pot, it will say "Feed Crystal" as part of one of the options for that specific plant. the type of crystal and day on which you feed it to your plant have an effect on the plant's outcome.

with saplings and cuttings the time between when the plant is ready to be fed is about a RL week. if you choose not to feed the plant, you simply examine it, and eventually it will not ask you to be fed until it's ready for the second crystal, or to be harvested.

Hi i grew 110 saplings, with max maple tables in moogle on each mule, all porc pots, planted all on firesday, fed 2 fire crystals to each on firesday, missed a day here and there for examining the plants lol, i grew 11 fire ores, i also grew billions of ice clusters, and billions of stacks of cinnamon, nothing else grew whatsoever, im currently growing 100 more saplings, but this time all my mules have theyre own harvest gear so i dont have to transfer harvest gear to every mule, very time consuming, now i can check plants in under 20 minutes whereas before it took over an hour every day ewwy, anyways good luck brett
