Not a terrible group, we should be competitive at least...
Not really, Germany is far stronger and Portugal is the clear second in that group. Most likely you'll get to fight over place 3 with Ghana.

Edit for Aethien: Group B: Spain, Chile, Australia and Netherlands.
Spain is definitely the strongest team, the Dutch have to do well vs Chile and not fail miserably against Australia but Spain, Chile and the Netherlands all like to play the same type of football which the Netherlands like playing against a lot more than the super defensive Australia (who are pretty much doomed to end up last).
We should be able to make a game of it with Portugal, they're good but they're not in the top tier of teams. Really we're not going anywhere in the tournament if we can't at least force a tie with a team like that. Then again, I'm being optimistic I suppose. We can't all be Argentina, or Brazil, they look like they'll have a nice time advancing at home.

I'll still take our group over yours. Smiley: wink

The problem for the USA vs Portugal is really just Ronaldo, If there wasn't Ronaldo I'd say you were right but he just has so much individual qualities that he'll score once or twice if it's needed and that will make the difference in that matchup, I think the Portuguese also have vastly more experience with the tension coming from these big matches as a good deal of them play with and against the best players in the world every year in the Champions league.

Vidal can do the same for Chile, Messi for Argentine, Robben and Van Persie for the Netherlands and Germany and Spain have so many great players they're the favourites for the finals.

Where's Tonya Harding when you need her?

Apparently not, what about that goon she hired, he's got to be around somewhere. maybe we can get him on the team. One quick crowbar the the knee and we're home free right?

You could send a hitman to shave off Ronaldo's hair, that would probably send him spiraling into a depression.

I don't know what we're talking about, so I'll just leave this here:

I was hooking up with this guy in a bathroom (because apparently it's my goal in life to confirm every gay stereotype as true) and someone came in. I swear they took the longest **** in the history of the human race. Was really a mood killer.

Also, we are/were talking about the 2014 football world cup because they just held the event where they decide the groups so this is prime speculating time before we forget all about it until May.

Soccer... (or what Aethien said)

and I probably could have lived the rest of my life without knowing the rest of that. Nice to know though, nice to know... so that was the end of the moment there eh? No phone number and call me maybe?

Shaking hands seems like a very anticlimactic way to end hooking up in the bathroom.

Grindr? lol! I have never seen the appeal of hooking up in a bathroom, that's gross. Then again, I've never randomly met someone and decided I wanted to ***** them right there, right now either. I have to develop an emotional connection of some sort before I get sexually attracted to people.

Also, holy **** there's this weird white powdery stuff on the ground out here!

For me, emotion and sex are quite separate. I mean, I enjoy it more when there's an emotional attachment (because, obviously, I get sexual and emotional pleasure out of it). But sex for the purely hedonistic pleasure works for me.

I am a monogamous person, though. If I'm with someone, I don't want an open relationship or multiple partners.

And the bathroom isn't exactly my preferred location. Smiley: lol

So what's the actual prize here, because the flower and the swan seems like a weird prize for some sort of cycling thing.
