It was a digital download, so I have no clue.

I played more yesterday, and I FINALLY got an upgrade to my DH's weapon. I went from a magic item... to a basic white weapon that did better damage, because that's how long it had been since I saw a crossbow (1 or 2 handed) drop, and the vendors didn't have any.

It was just... really not fun. Upgrading your weapon should be fun. It shouldn't actually deduct from the experience. Upgrading to a white item is fine when you JUST hit a level req, and you see enough access to upgrades that you don't expect it to be long. Upgrading to a white weapon out of desperation, though...

Which obviously made me look more into 2.0/RoS.

And all I found was a thread of people discussing the fact that, y'know, the console editions need the expansion, and word of it would be nice.

The blue response in the thread was just to note that they have only announced RoS for the PC and the legendary edition for PS4.

Wow, A+ response Blizz, good job. You simultaneously didn't answer the question or apologize (or even gave a sort of non-apology in a way that would diffuse our irritation). You just offered irrelevant, salt-in-the-wound information.

Know what would have been better? "We understand your frustration, but we have no information regarding a RoS release on 360 and PS3 versions at this time."

NOT, "Reaper of Souls will be available on the PC, and we will also be offering the Legendary Edition on the PS4. We have no further announcements at this time."

Sounds like yo got the AH loot system without the AH. Which means you're royally ****** since every class is pretty gear dependent.

Trying to look it up, it seems like the console system is based around items being of higher quality drops in general.

They increased the drop chance of blue+ items, and when white items drop, they have a high chance to just drop as gold instead, because playing with menus is annoying in console games.

I'm seeing chatter that they made it so that the items that drop will have your primary stat, but my Demon Hunter has found more Str and Int gear than he has Dex gear. That's not an exaggeration. I'm only wearing like 2 non-quest, non-vendor items that have dex on them. I have str and int in more slots than that, because they were upgrades even though they didn't give me what I needed.

Do I just have atrocious luck? I remember people saying good things about the console version.

Not really, all my gear on all my characters bar a few lone pieces came from the AH. You could have just played Torchlight 2 you know. Smiley: tongue

I have to go to a conference today in Atlantic City.

I'm with you that far.

Can't comment on the city thing. Never been there and no plans to visit. My advice is to find someone like minded and waste the conference day at the diner across the street. Say you're collaborating or something and scarf down all the beer and breadsticks you can get your hands on.

Also, there's a giant crane outside my window lifting some heavy equipment into the top floor of the building next to me.

It's too distracting. Much more fun to watch that than work.

Can't you set the machines to work so that you've got time to stare out the window while complaining about how slow said machines are?

Naw, today I'm sitting in the office cutting and pasting rows in a spreadsheet so I can do some normalization, which isn't going save the poor results for this project, but that I have to do anyway. Smiley: frown

They claim it's just equipment for the central climate control, or something like that. All I know for certain is they had to evacuate 2 floors of the building and cut a hole in the roof.

Cool, a weather dominator. Look out for an assortment of weirdly dressed people claiming to be associated with the US military.

It's not really the kind of thing you can really express in what you people like to call "numbers," but yes, clearly over 9000.

I've never watched all of it but it's like 80% filler anyway. Fights lasting 193649 episodes because every character explains every single thing they do at length etc.

Also, dem Texans know how to make good beer.

I dunno, my in that genre only extends to what can be found late at night, and features Google-censored exploits.

And at that point I'm mainly just watching for the Google-censored exploits.

Also, good beer is good. What did you get from Texas?

We had that two blocks away a month or so ago. Hope it works out better for you than it did for us.
