in order for both SA and TA to work, you've got to be behind the tank, and the tank has to be behind the enemy. That holds true until you get the job trait Assassin at lvl 60, at which time you can just use TA from behind the tank and it doesnt matter if the tank is facing the enemy or not

anything which is 1".25" or contains a decimal and more numbers after a number... is only accounted for the first number like redvenomweb said ex:

"/wait 6.99999" is the same as "/wait 6"

...? that what u wanted >_>?

/wait 0.5 would be the same... aka /wait 0 which probably waits for 0, or gives u an error (skips that line) ...i dunno

Hello! I just want to ask if the effect of Hide is achievable in other ways such as using Invisibility,Silent Potions,Deodorizers or NIN spells.

Casting invisible or using a powder won't drop hate like Hide does, and this is nearly as off-topic as my chicken post...
Please rate me down, I'm trying to see if my karma can actually go negative...

To be totally honest, as a ps2 user i find it mucxh more efficient to use separate macros for sneak attack, trick attack and weapon skills due to the delay we ps2 users suffer. There were many times while using a sneak attack /wait 1 trick attack /wait 1 ws macro in which trick attack or the ws would not go off and thus leaving hate with the skill chain started and wasting mp healing him.

I found that separating you macros into;

[VB] - [SA] - [TA] - [DE]

became really effective for me and other who i have shown.
(next macro should be hit as soon as you see the animation start from previous macro to avoid any chance of striking inbetween abilities)

The reason that the [VB] (Viper Bite) macro remained is because at the time many of us hit lvl 60 in Valley Of Sorrows then moves to LoO and fought tomoras. Those ******* cats had really high evasion and i found that intil about lvl 62 it was pretty hard to get the full 5 hits on dancing edge for maximum damage. And with hate shifting from pld's not using flash and provoke use to paralyze of silence (similar issues withninja tanks) i need to to put as much damage/hate onto that tank as posible. I would always ready my ws behind that tank, and if my sata partner was unable to take hate for a moment or in some situations actually did take hate i preffered using [TA]-[SA]-[VB] for its accuracy and consistent damage. If hate was kept by the tank [TA]-[DE] was used because it's my best ws for standing alone with trick attack. These macro remained the same until Shark bite was obtained and replaced [VB].

Sry if this is hard to understand, i'm not the best writer, but i hope this helps the ps2 users.

You can run through water if a mob tracks by scent... Not the same thing, but helps to know. Crawlers come to mind, don't know what else.

I am curious myself if you could flee out of range, deoderize, then Tonko and get a similar effect. I have read that just flee'n out of range long enough will shed hate. Lazy mobs ><

I think it is kosher to post in a sticky even if the date is long past, right? I just hope people see my question!

I am very new to THF, and I am only lvl 14. After reading up on SA and how it stacks with WS' I have a question: as THF main, if a WS doesn't stack with SA, meaning you have no DEX multiplier bonus, does SA do anything at all? I see people talking about how SA can cause just a normal critical. Can I, as THF main, use SA+WS and only get a critical bonus on it? Or, will it always be either DEX bonus, or nothing at all?

Hi, Im kinda new here, but i have far surpassed my research than i have actualy my playing. Just wanted to know though... if I were to sub a WAR, would there be anything else to macro into the already mighty thiefs: trick, sneak and viper macro?

If so that would be really cool as the damage delt must be awesome. But bascially if u cant, who is best, NIN or WAR as sub?
