Just wondering, if you don't have Victory Smite or Ascetic's Fury (yet), what is going to be the best hand-to-hand weapon skill in Abyssea. Also, is there a preferred set of atmas for this?

Backhand Blow
Use the usual +crit Atma's
Apoc
GH
RR
Any weapon skill that crits is what to use.

Finished out my fire taipans +3. Even with just Backhand Blow I'm getting great numbers. And besieged... did that last night, I got to use Hundred Fists four times.

I guess that brings me to a new question: if I want to keep punching fools into endgame, am I required to get Vere? Are the Rev Fists enough? Can I just slide by with my fire taipans +3?
