I am a newly minted 90 NIN, have been spending most of my time working on AF3 gear. I've got +2 legs, +1 hands/feet, and I'm on the way to body/head. I have good gear for my DNC and BLU and a lot carries over, and I've been playing forever. I'm fairly skilled at the game, and I've done a lot of NM soloing on DNC and I'm really excited to start doing so on NIN.
That said, a friend of mine told me that it's possible for NIN/RDM to solo Jailer of Hope. Since I'd love a Hope Torque, I wanted to see if anyone here knew specifically how that was done.

I've never solo'd JoH, but if I was to try it I'd probably go /DNC and use VF for Plasma Charge and the like, fast curing goes a long way too. Thats the only threat really, depends how you want to handle it. You could always go /COR and use Dark shot for it along with Ninja roll if you really wanted a bit more challenge.
I can obviously see the benefit of having haste+Dispel+some curing but for most nin's their won't be a rush fighting it and you'll have 50%SB and 10% TP reduction so it won't use TP as often as casting spells. Other enfeebs should easily stick now so you should be able to cripple Hope into being your little biatch.

We won't get Haste from /RDM until the level cap is raised to 99.
