Nin? Pld? Solo time :: Final Fantasy XI

So im returning to the game after about a year of being absent....

I understand its hard to get parties at low levels and am wondering - realistically - can you ACTUALLY solo up to 75 like im hearing and how long would it take to pull off some stunt like this?

Im a fan of pld, but thinking of running nin this time round...

maybe running rdm/nin too???

Not sure.. what are your guys thoughts?

They drastically increased the exp you get from killing DCs and EPs, and then yhey doubled the exp you get per kill across the board. On top of that, you can do Grounds of Valor, where you get an exp reward every time you kill X number of one mob and Y number of another mob. While you might start off soloing a GoV page, you'll likely find other players doing the same page. Just group up with them, since the bulk of exp comes from finishing the page itself. Since you're beating up on DCs and EPs, parties and alliances can easily grow and change dynamically. It's not like two years ago, when you had to have exactly one tank, a couple of back line support, and specific DDs.

Cool man - that is def. making me less reluctant to make the return. Actually, after hearing that I am kind of excited to get going with the game again! Its been a long time.

Just recently, someone in our LS came back to the game after a long break (last time he had played was a few weeks after Visions was released). He wanted to level his NIN sub, and we advised him to just go to CN to solo and see what happens. He said he got an invite into an alliance before he even reached the camp to start killing mobs. YMMV
